The Australian Grand Prix

Race day Sunday was a partly cloudy day with a good crowd to see the
race. I purchased a general admission ticket without a seat in the
grandstands so I could wander around the race track. As with most
sporting events, watching from home would give you a better look at the
action, but I was glad to be in Albert Park this one time for the
Formula One experience.

Both Ferraris crashed out, and Fernando Alonso took the race win in his
Renault.

On Monday after the race, we set sail for the next leg of our tour of
Australia. The Spirit of Tasmania II took us across the Bass Strait to
Tasmania. The 10 hour crossing was done overnight, so we arrived at
dawn in Devonport on the North coast.
