Pablo Hohenlohe's Series II 250GT Cabriolet
My uncle, Prince Alfonso Hohenlohe, was married to Gianni Agnelli's
niece Princess Ira Furstenberg.
On one of the trips to Italy he drove a huge "Eldorado" he brought from
California.
Agnelli saw that car and told him that a Cadillac was not a car for
narrow european roads and asked him to go to Maranello and drive back,
to the family home in Torino, a 250 GT that he had ordered a few months
ago.
Needless to say, my uncle Alfonso felt in love with her and
managed to keep her.
40 years later (me not knowing about the existence of this Ferrari) he
called me up asking me if I could help him out to fix the wood of the
steering wheel of "an old car..."!
You can imagine my face when I saw. What he called "old car!"
After a few make ups, including new wood for the wheel, he decided that
I was going to take better care of her and gave it to me!
So, this is the story of the 2101 GT that Agnelli ordered with covered
lights! I guess I'm a lucky guy!
