Authur Lemay's 1983 400i

I bought this Ferrari 1983 400i from an elderly gentleman in Pebble Beach, California.  The car spent its entire life in Pebble Beach, except for its first owner in Dusseldorf, Germany.  400i's are strictly grey market cars in the US since they were never sold here.  But, I understand about 1,700 were produced in a variety of basically similar models starting with the 365  ending with the 412 in 1986.

Although not one of the most popular Ferrari's, I love it.  It is a 4 seater with enough luggage space in the trunk that I can fit a couple of cases of wine from Napa Valley on our regular trips there.

I have about 54,000 miles on it and have owned it for three years.  It is a rock solid car with all the Ferrari V12 heritage.  I won a Platinum award at the Concorso Italiano in Carmel in 1999, and it lacks nothing.

Thanks,

Arthur Lemay
