Les Thaler's 365GT 2+2

I bought my 2nd Ferari in October of 2000 from a fellow in South Carolina named Rick Simonis. The car was bought new in 1967 by a rock-n-roller from the band Foghat (remember them?) Happily for me, Rick did all the restoration work, including complete engine, transmission, differential rebuild, new paint from bare metal, and new leather.

I had the front brakes rebuilt, as the pistons were pretty stick from not being driven much, and replaced the load levelers (try to find those!). I also have removed the nudge bar, which I think really ruins the beautiful lines of the nose.

My first Ferrari was also a 365 2+2 (13061). My neighbor's teenage daughter sent that one to Ferrari heaven on it's maiden voyage--she plowed into me head-on  entering a blind turn on the wrong side of the road.
