Re: Removing knock off spinners.....

Does anyone here have experience of the Hill Engineering tool for knock off spinners? It’s described as steel and aluminium mixed construction. The Hill tool is presently listed on the Superformance.co.uk website but I can’t find it on Hill’s own site. Hi Terry, I have one. I tried out a prototype ...

Re: Gas Filler Overflow Pipe

Hi Tom,

I think there was a vinyl hose connected to pipe at the base of the fuel door and it ran through a hole at the bottom of the trunk well.

Re: 330 GTC horn compressor lubrication

The 330 GTC horn compressor is really a bear to oil, even without the plastic cover they're supposed to have. It may be easier to unbolt the compressor to oil it than to try and reach the oil fill hole. Internally, there is a bit of wadding that is supposed to absorb whatever oil you insert. it's on...

Re: Locking Forum for a day or so.

We should be back on and the forum is now unlocked. New server should be in operation along with email.

Let me know if you find any issues and I'll try to address them.

Thanks.

Locking Forum for a day or so.

Re: Ferrari 250 Gte Accelerator kick plate

Hi Chris, It's polished stainless steel, probably a 304 alloy. The panel has a beveled lip. I have not spoken to my friend Mike in this blog post in years, and he isn't working at the shop that he could laser cut these shapes, here's a post about making them; http://tomyang.net/blog/2004/04/29/trim-...

Re: Torque procedure rear axle hub nut 250 Gte

Hi Christopher, As I'm sure you know there isn't a lot of technical data out there for VIntage Ferraris. Besides certain specs that are available for engine assembly, many fasteners on Ferraris just didn't have this information. When I asked Francois, my mentor, how tight I should tighten a particul...

Re: 250 GTE original type exhaust

The rear mufflers have the same symmetrical shape as the front ones, but they they have structural gussets tack welded, which gives them an odd shape--as seen in Tom Y's photo. Tom W's rear mufflers were replaced with cherry bombs. john Hi John, I'll have to see if I have more pictures of that rear...

Re: 250 GTE original type exhaust

In trying to describe the Abarth mufflers in the last post, I'll try to take some pictures of an original exhaust I'm currently removing from a car. Stay tuned!
