Re: Who is going to Cavallino?

I'll be there arriving Weds and departing Sunday. No cars in tow this year, but my will have the joy of walking the field wit my 4 year old daughter. I'm looking forward to seeing Tom and friends in PB.

Happy NY,
David

Re: Congratulations David and Tom!

Thank you John! We are very excited and thankful that the car will be there. The credit for the preservation is all Ed's - if it weren't for his generation-and-a-half of care and stewardship the car wouldn't exist. Thanks, Ed. And thanks, Tom, for pointing me towards her.

Re: 2023 GT & 1147 GT

Congrats on your two PF's. I found out the remainder of 1747's history from Marcel Massisni; I am certain he would have some data on both of your cars if they were originally sold in what is now the EU. The 16" Borranis with period Blockley rubber on them look great and stick like glue. I have my 5 ...

Re: Events around Quail/Pebble Beach

Hi Tom, Congrats again on the event last year - you really pulled off a winner with the Tom Yang Quail Lodge party last year. I'm especially excited for the Second Annual edition, since I have my FIAT-Abarth in the Quail and my wife and infant daughter will be with me. I am looking forward to seeing...

Re: David Eichenbaum's 250 GT PF Coupe featured in Forza Mag

Thanks for the kind words on the article. It was just a joy to shoot it with Tom, and he deserves all the credit for it coming to print. Thank you, Tom!

I look forward to taking a ride in your 4-liter someday soon, Dan. Good to see you @ FCA.

Re: Yeah Tom!!!!!

Hi Ed,

I was up in CT this weekend with the PF and the "Gray Survivors" photo shoot - and the cars really are the same color! They make a neat duo, and not too many s/n's apart...

Re: Ha ha, glad to know I wasn't the only shmuck

As I've said in emails: three cheers, Tom! I am glad we repaired the heater core as the car should work as intended, and I'm pleased that's the case now. I know it was a lot of work. Congrats on finishing your 330; perhaps I'll have a chance to see her if you driver her down to CT this weekend. Forz...

Re: FCA 2011 - Savannah

I'll be there with the PF. I will probably drive up Tues or Weds PM and track her lightly on Weds and/or Thurs. I am up for a field trip on Friday while she gets cleaned up for the Concours.

Re: Cavallino 2011

Glad some of you will be down! Sorry the whole FCA Villa crew won't be there this year - but Savannah's only 5 months away. The lectures start this year Thursday at 9AM in the South meeting rooms.

Re: Cavallino 2011

I'll be there with the BBi this year. I look forward to catching up you, Sam. Tom, I'm glad you'll be making it down. I am taking the Boxer out with the GT group at PBIR; I am probably going to skip the Yachts and Jet Party this year, but I'll be at the lectures, on the lawn, and eating at the award...

Thanks

Thanks for the rec's . I think I'm going to put the car on the 3526 16" Borranis to keep the PF more disc-brake correct. I'm going to price reproduction wheels, but I would probably prefer a set of originals... I realize that availability trumps preference here, but, if anyone knows of a set availab...

Thanks Tom! You know how thrilled I am about this project - I'm eager to garner everyone's opinios and see 1747 through to a true, period correct, mechanically sound tourer. I am anticipating learning from the board as we progress. Let's restore her together!
