Vapor lock it was!
I just got home, and the car started right up.
(Man, was that inexpensive!)

You meet the nicest people when your vintage Ferrari fails..
Yesterday I went for a nice Sunday afternoon drive in my 330, with my 2-year-old son strapped firmly into his car seat, facing forward. In a world of modern cars with airbags, he usually spends most of his time in the backseats of cars, kind of confined to second-row status, if you know what I mean....

What would be a good brand of polish with a neutral Ph? I spent 20 hours polishing my wheels with Mothers and am very happy with the results. I would like to compare with your brand for next time. Not too soon I hope. Like I said, the ammonia cleans the corrosion well, but continues to work, even a...

Re: Driving position in PF Coupe
Ergonomics was a word invented in the 80's I think. That's good. It certainly wasn't invented by the Italians. I've owned a Fiat 2000 convertible, an Alfa Spider Veloce, and have driven a number of other Italian cars, and they all have a similar driving position. It's certainly less functional than...

Re: Help! Borrani sizes for 330 2+2
I got some Mothers Billit polish (awesome stuff, BTW) I'm sorry to disagree, bluecat, but Mother's is simply awful stuff. It's acidic and contains ammonia, which does make it a quick cleaner. However, those same ingredients make the polished surface deteriorate quickly. If you do half a rim with Mo...

That system on e-bay has just the right 'patina' as well! I'd be a little wary of unknown used systems. In his book on Ferrari maintenance and performance, Allen Bishop goes to great lengths to warn agains rust systems and thei effect on performance. I'd take his advice. But that is a pretty intere...

Wow, Kerry! That list of cars available would have been really helpful when I was looking for my 330! How about also creating a page on cars sold? I know that, as you point out, it's hard to know if some transactions are completed or not. But it would certainly be interesting to see the actual selli...

1967 Sports Car Graphic 330 article
For the heck of it, I bought an original article from Sports Car Graphic's January 1967 issue off of Ebay. It's a very nice read. I was about to pour myself a glass of wine last night and transcribe the entire thing to share with you guys, but I (luckily) decided to see if it was already on Kerry's ...

I think that the "metallized crap" on Keith's hood was probably a filler called "All Metal." It's very difficult to remove. Hopefully, Jon, you won't face the same stuff.

Michael, Do you have the same amount of droop both front and rear? I checked your profile, but the type of car wasn't listed. I'm sorry that I don't remember. What model is it? Regardless, I'd have it checked out. Suspension changes shouldn't be mysterious. Or, to put it another way, mysterious susp...
