Re: bleeding brakes

It was my understanding that within the piston itself there is a small spring and this small spring works with the pin like rod that it fits onto when the piston is the bore. My front caliper spring has a break in it and I am told that is why I can't get it to release all the way. Its not grabbing b...

Re: Removing knock off wheels

Hi Steve
In theory leaving the car on the ground while striking the knock offs lessens the chance of possible flat spots on the wheels needle bearings. True or not I can't attest too but I habit I practice....anyone else??

I am looking for a rear view mirror, interior, for a friend that is missing his. Any leads appreciated. The "usual suspects" have been tried. Thanks in advance.

Re: Series 1 Carb spacer information

Hi Tim I recorded the carbs #'s and order in which they were mounted when Tom and Francois rebuilt my motor. When I remounted them I noticed that part of carb body was ground, or worn, on the rear most carb. I also noticed that the rear most intake had some wear marks on it. I assumed it from both t...

Series 1 Carb spacer information

Hi All I just received my DCZ's back from rebuilding at Pierce manifolds. Along with the rebuild Mike sends new gaskets and carb base spacers. While attempting to put on the rear carb, thankfully I started with that one, I noticed the carburator wasn't sitting flush. The part of the carburator that ...

Re: Booster Vacuum hose

Since Tims last posting I have been thinking what was on 5749. After the request for a pic I began digging thru old parts bins.....here you go. This was off of 5749, series 1 330. So I guess I'll be looking for this hose also....never ends!

Re: Booster Vacuum hose

Not sure about any other models but Kerrys site shows hosing that has a weaved fabric wrapped around it on the 330. I got mine from Geoff at Partsource a few years ago. As an unrelated side note, sorry, I just went to Neils site at Newco, he has a "Macaroni" hose listed as a new product. Looks like ...

Re: Restoration Battery

It was purchased for a series 1 330 when the car wasn't available to me. This battery fits the later series 330. Purchased about 8 months ago from restoration battery for $360.00, plus shipping. Their website is "Restoration Battery". Hoping to find a home with the viewers here, at a discounted offe...

Re: Sealing the Tach Drive

Agreed, very low pressure to seal. Loctite 518 is usually used in applications where there is no gasket present and all air can be removed from the seal i.e.: fuel rail. But I do understand its resistant to chemicals. Interestingly enough it has been discovered that there is a typo from Ferrari and ...
