Well, we need a first post of 2024….
Happy New Year, folks. Thanks again to Tom for this website and to each of you who participate and help each other with various car issues. A 15yo young man posted something on FChat a few weeks back leading to he and his dad coming over to my house to look at my 330 GTC and series 1 Jag E-type. The...

Re: Fuse board junction/terminal/connector
Michael, you raise a valid point. I forgot to thank 250gtgt. So, a belated thank you to 250gtgt for pointing us in the right direction!

Re: Fuse board junction/terminal/connector
Jimmyr - I’m going to replace one that melted. Top picture in this thread shows what needs replacing. Luckily the connection still works fine, but I want to replace it with a new terminal block. And thanks to Michael, I’ll be able to replace it with a terminal strip/block that should be a perfect ma...

Re: Fuse board junction/terminal/connector
Thanks Michael! Believe it or not, the width of the strip is 27mm. I measured it with two different scales and a micrometer….exactly 27mm. Kind of big, I guess (?), but it’s got 40 amps running through it and the wire from the alternator is pretty big. At least 12 gauge, maybe 10? One of the usual F...

Re: Fuse board junction/terminal/connector
Well, I can’t seem to get a response from Molex. First they tell me they don’t make these strips anymore. I point them to their own website and then they say, “Oh, I didn’t see that. Contact a distributor.” So, I try to contact a distributor. The Molex website is a mess in terms of bad links, etc. S...

Re: Fuse board junction/terminal/connector
Thanks for the info and for the offer to pick up in Europe and send to me. Very generous offer and much appreciated. I think I’m going to go with this connector. It will handle 60 amps which is more than the alternator can generate so a significant safety factor (I’m an engineer…I live for safety fa...

Fuse board junction/terminal/connector
Does anyone have a reliable source for these connectors? There are two on the fuse panel board in the 330 GTC.
Thanks,
Kevin
Thanks,

Solid state ignition relay (SSR)?
I posted this in an old thread, but thought maybe a new thread would be better. Has anyone replaced their CEAM ignition relay with a modern solid state relay (SSR)? If so, what is your SSR rating? I figure an instant current of 150 amps with a continuous rating of 60 amps should be OK. As to why I’m...

Re: The 10th new Ceam electric switch
Cross posted on FChat…. Is there a solid state relay replacement for the CEAM ignition relay (1967 330 GTC)? I just filed/sanded the points and cleaned the connectors on mine, but would really love to replace it with something modern. I did a search on here, but came up empty. I may have used incorr...

Re: Weber DCZ6 accelerator pumps
I use it straight out of the cans. No mixing. I have an electric transfer pump and just pump the five gallon pails directly into the fuel tank (easier than using a huge funnel and spilling the liquid gold). Google “sunoco race fuel” and you’ll find all of the detailed specs for all their race fuels....

Re: Weber DCZ6 accelerator pumps
I try to avoid the problem by spending stupid amounts of money on Sunoco Race fuel.
