Racedeck

That Racedeck tile product looks nice. Any idea how much it costs? Epoxy is about $3.50 per square foot installed in my neighborhood, or $5 per square foot if the contractor has to remove the 1-part junk you bought at Home Depot and carefully applied.

Glossy floor

I have an industrial 2-part glossy gray finish on my floor. After 3 years, here are the downsides I've noticed: 1) You WILL SLIP on the glossy floor when it's rainy outside and you come in after taking out the trash. So far, not all the way to the floor. 2) Dirty rainwater dripping off your car will...

I think that's the one I tried to look at 5 years ago, before I located my current car. Never could get them to give me a call back. I went there to visit them cold, the car was off-site at the owner's, who could not be reached. Wacky is about the right word. 330GTS care have moved up with the rest ...

Fuel Pump

Patrick Ottis mentioned to me once that there are slight internal differences in FISPA fuel pumps depending on the engine type they were designed to bolt onto. It's possible that yours was rebuilt at one time to an inappropriate spec for your engine.

Especially with the 25/30A fuses, it's important to polish the ends periodically to keep them very conductive... otherwise the fuse burns up when your fans have to run for a while.

Later 330's had an oil cooler built-in to the bottom of the radiator. Maybe you could use one of those? I don't know if the mounting, etc is any different.

Or look for a VW oil cooler online (for those 60's machines).

Michael,

-10 amps is about what a running car will draw without headlamps on. This means to me that your generator isn't charging at all. Your battery voltage during charging should be almost 14 volts. Sounds like you've got either a dead generator, or regulator.

I took my car there last year. I was in the "foreign" category, which was competed by a Citroen, a 911, and a 308. Many more MG's and classics. It's a small show in a picturesque setting, just getting started, at the Ritz-Carleton on the cliffs. If you go, I'd highly recommend dinner at Cafe Gibralt...

3M Adhesive remover is a wonderful product. It comes in a red can and should be at your local hardware store. It contains toluene, so it's probably best to wear a resprator while using it for long periods of time. You might want to visit your local automotive paints store. They can tell you exactly ...

Leakdown

Here's a general question: why, on a given cylinder, would the compression reading be low, but the leakdown reading also be low? I'd imagine they'd go in opposite directions.

Non-original colors are generally OK, as long as the color looks like it came from the right period.

Yale, I actually had the original Abarth system on my car until a few years ago. My car had apparently been a daily driver from new until it was about 5 years old; then a curb or something took out the lower radiator mount, and it sat for 25 years. This led to the survival of the original exhaust, w...
