Re: Green Berlinetta Boxer
Hi John, maturity is one thing but remember someone else will probably do something "stupid" with the money you did not spend on the car. Dont want to die with a wallet so fat it hurts to sit down and shuda, wuda, kudas left undone. This from a guy who is still not taking enough time off from work. Mike

Re: Painting Cromodora Mags
Hi Steve, I had mine done years ago and they have held up great. My understanding is that the most important part is to use a chromate primer.I had the shop match the color the wheels were already. I seem to remember a Chrysler silver shade as being a good match. Good luck,Mike

Re: 365 GT 2 + 2 restoration
Hi A.D. the fix is very simple. Just remove the self leveling shock and replace it with the coilover. It will look the same as the remaining rear shock except that there is a coil spring and adjusting nuts to even the height in the rear.It is a simple swap.I think I got mine from Rutlands or GT Car P...

Kerry is right as to the originality of the valve in his photo. That is not the correct shade of blue. Mike

Hi Rob, It was quite some time ago when I spoke with Mike about the McQueen Lusso. While he was very nice on the phone as I remember he did not seem interested in giving out whatever code he might have had.He did emphasize that it was a distinct custom mix and that I should not be misled by how it ap...

Re: Tell me about the old days!
While I cant comment on the Ferrari world of the 60's etc, Tom's take on today is spot on as to folks fixing stuff. As I sneak up on 68yrs I note that I have been pulling wrenches both as pro and for "fun" for more than 50 yrs.At first it was to learn and also to be able to afford a car.It was just w...
