Re: Daytona AC Belts
Hi folks, Thought I would document my progress, or lack of, and a question. What a thankless job! Everything is tight. My 10 year old AC belts were slipping. They were purchased from T Rutlands 10 tears ago and they were 725mm. Big enough to get on the pullys but at the end of the AC adjustment. Aft...

Re: Daytona AC Belts
Jimmy, How true, how true. Last time I did this I ran into that problem and ended up replacing the two front motor mounts. Just about had the engine out and all stuff disconnected. As I remember my biggest problem was getting the belts over the AC compressor pully as there was very little clearance ...

Re: Daytona AC Belts
Thanks Steve, Yes. I've done this before and it was a real PITA getting the AC belts on. The ones I put on came from T Rutlands and I think they were too big and mine slip and have become shinny. Maranello Classic Parts and Eurospares show the belt size as 690mm but are out and the alternate says "A...

Daytona AC Belts
The Daytona AC takes two belts. My car is a 1973 Euro SN 16733 Both Eurospares and Maranello Classic parts list two different sizes. One is 320393 13x690 The other is 320393/a 13x670li After corresponding with Maranello Classic parts I am still confused on what to order. Anyone run into this before ...

Here are some pictures of the out-gassed Chromodoro 512BB Mags. One pic of each wheel. Might have to enlarge to see detail. Drew

Re: Where to go for painting Ferrari vintage wheels
Tom - these are early Boxer wheels. I do not believe they have the decal. I think the BBi (vs BB) wheel, which I believe are metric, had the decal but don't take my word for it. I'm not looking for concourse just something that is pretty close and does not bubble up after 2 years. Bo Pirkle in Atlan...

Where to go for painting Ferrari vintage wheels
Hi folks, I have a 79 Boxer whose wheels need painting. They are outgassing and the paint is bubbling. Not correctly prepped the last go around. I've tried to find someone in the Alabama or Georgia/Atalanta area (I'm in Tuscaloosa) who is experienced with these but have not come up with a good solut...

Re: Daytona Brake Caliper Rebuild
Wanted to close this thread. I finally got all he pistons out. Ended up buying a larger more expensive grease gun. I think my old smaller grease gun could not but enough pressure on the pistons in the caliper.

Re: Daytona Brake Caliper Rebuild
Well, one of the pistons is stuck pretty good. Used the grease gun on the other 3. It has moved out about an 1/8". Thinking of apply heat to the caliper with a heat gun set on high and dropping some dry ice inside the piston. After that the only thing I can think of is pushing the piston back in wit...

Re: Daytona Trim/Paint Question
The rocker panels on my 73 Daytona are semi gloss black. However the car was repainted somewhere along the line so not a rock solid answer. Drew

Re: Daytona Brake Caliper Rebuild
Thanks Tom,
Maybe I'll give it a shot.
Was there any trick to getting the pistons out of the cylinder other than using compressed air?
I've watched a couple of UTube videos and other than a piston getting stuck it doesn't look that bad.

Daytona Brake Caliper Rebuild
Hi Folks, I'm mainly a looker on Tom's site although I do post here and very much enjoy the site. I need to have my rear (and probably front) calipers rebuilt. I'm handy but don't know if I want to take this on and the parts seem hard to source. Who are you folks using to rebuild your calipers. From...
