Hi Cory,
I don't have a battery just yet but I measured my series 1 tray and it is also 6 7/8" x 10 5/8". The threaded rods for the clamp look like they'll take a battery up to 7 1/2" tall. Hope this helps.
Regards
Darren

Re: Restoring 330 Fuel Filler Flap
Today I finally finished making the Fuel filler flap inserts in Stainless Steel. I had a wait to get hold of some 0.6mm stainless sheet to make the small tabs that bend over to hold the insert into the flap. After a search I got a sample off ebay. Since the tabs are only 25mm x 5mm I managed to make...

Re: Daytona Driveability Problem
Hmmm, Its always difficult to diagnose from an armchair, but if you've exhausted Carburettor adjustments and checks, then it could be ignition timing, advance/dwell, weak spark or compression. That said I had a voltage relay once that dropped out the charge from the dynamo only below 1200rpm, car wo...

Restoring 330 Fuel Filler Flap
The last few weeks have been quite tough, my cheap ebay Volvo needed a new rear tyre for its MOT test (it was picked up last year as on the minimum tread limit so after another 12 months it was pretty bald) Unfortunately it cleared out my savings for the Aluminium sheet I need to make the grille wit...

Re: Coming out of the woodwork
Hi Kerry, I was at Goodwood this weekend and looked over 5797 & 6201. 6201 is really in need of total restoration as it was a tatty but a complete car (interior was very poor), 5797 ditto also but only marginally better and not run in years. The prices reflect this. Interestingly there was a stand o...

Re: 330GT 2+2 Grille
Today I got the final trial set of grille parts back from the laser cutters. This is the third version as there were a few small glitches/errors in my CAD plotting on the first 2 sets. After some small alterations (basically joining a few dots and gaps in lines) they are pretty much mm perfect. The ...

Re: Re-silvering a late 330 GT mirror
Hi Kerry It's a long shot as I have never seen the mirror (still on the hunt for one for my car) but most classic mirrors of this era have a small seal around the edge of the mirror glass (clear or white nylon) You carefully push the glass into the housing by a 1/16" (usually a spring behind the gla...

Re: Ferrari 250 GTE Stolen
I am so sorry to hear about your car Markus. I hope you get it back soon. Each night I search the internet world wide for Ferrari parts for my 330, if anything suspicious crops up I'll be certain to let you know. If it leads to your car then you can keep the reward, your joy in getting it back is re...

Re: Door Handles
Hi Tom, The handles are Mazak, if you try and bend them off the car you will most probably break the casting. Cory is right, your's look over tightened pulling them against the door skin and bending them out of shape. I stripped two cars down that were being parted out, both had packing washers betw...

Re: Restoring 330GT 2+2 Rear Ashtray
Following my recovery from surgery I have had to take it easy for a few months. Today I managed to restart the project and completed the rear armrest ashtray. Like most of the parts I have found the rear ashtray was in bad condition. I already refurbished the inner part and had stripped down the out...

Re: 330GT 2+2 Grille
No problem guy's The finished grille will be anodised. There is a yacht builder near me and I have already enquired about the process as the have a large complex that does all the masts, railings and deck fittings. I plan to cut just one first to trial the assembly and if all goes well then I'll cut...

Re: 330GT 2+2 Grille
Here's a short update on CAD plotting progress.... I've been real ill recently and had emergency surgery which knocked me for six, 3 months recovery time has given me plenty of time to think, but no time unfortunately working on the car! Any how, the CAD drawing is now complete and I reckon i can ge...

Re: Help required with shipping parts
Thanks but no thanks, Besters I just used their online calculator and they wanted over $400USD for their service. WOW! I could almost buy an economy plane ticket and go pick them up in person for that price! I was thinking more along the lines of getting someone to mail them on for me using US posta...

Help required with shipping parts
Hi there, I've just bought some used 330 spinners of a guy in Chicago on the dreaded ebay. Trouble is he now tells me he won't ship outside of the US, and it's either ship to a US address or come collect. (not easy when you live in UK) So my question is, would anyone help in the US who I can get him...
