Secure Parking at Laguna Seca Historics
I have signed up for a private parking and viewing area for the Historic's weekend at Laguna Seca. It is at turn ten on the bluff above the pits and has a gate to keep the public away from your car while you enjoy the races. It is limited to 25 cars and they have some passes still available. Aloha, ...

Re: Rebuild costs
One item that often needs replacement on the 250 is the flywheel as there is not much thickness if it needs to be surfaced.

Re: Wanted: original vintage leather VM3171 Rosso
Hi Tom, Thanks for the reply. I have a samples of "new" leather and I am having a spare pair of seats upholstered with it. However the original seats need a couple of patches with some vintage material so that they will blend in a little better. When they are done I intend to use them only for show....

Re: Rear View Mirror
Thanks for all the input! I have taken some pictures to show what is involved. The mirror appears to have a piece of clear glass mounted in front with a spacer at the top. There is cloth tape that appears to have been "doped" after the assembly is put together as it is tight as a drum around the per...

Rear View Mirror
The interior review mirror in my Lusso appears to need to ether have the mirror replaced or re-silvered. Has anyone on this board been through this process. I have the basic mirror assembly apart and it appears that the mirror is set up with a separate piece of glass that enables the day-night funct...

leather conditioner
If you have not conditioned the lether,
try this product first, it works very well on neglected, dry leather.

Modern Starter
I just spent three days driving the Lusso with the new starter. It works great!
Martin was a great guy to deal with and he now has the pattern for the 168 motor. The old starter weighed 23lbs, the new one is 10lbs.
Cheers,
Mark

Modern Starter
I spoke to Martin, and my starter is on its way to him to have a modern replacement made. I will post a follow up in a couple of weeks once I get a chance to install it and test drive it.
Thanks for all the help.

Thanks for the feedback
I appreciate the input on this. Sounds like the modern replacement works better, and is easier to get in and out if service is needed. I will probably go that route.
