Re: 365 GT 2 + 2 restoration

Hi A.D. For A.D.'s car, he should stick with two cam specs, and I'd imagine 330 specs, as these are essentially the same engine (for torque specs) except the 365 has more displacement. Anybody else have thoughts on this? Tom Tom you are right - if both engines use the same headbolts. The torque spe...

Pledge Drive

Hi Tom and all Yangsters Let me say THANK YOU for this great website. Pledge has been paypaled. Thanks also for making it easy. Some years ago when 250GTE projects were in the $35K range I started thinking Ferrari and found this site. It has been very entertaining and informative. The scope of infor...

Re: "New Post" Icon

Well, I've switched to Mozilla, and I already am using the wireless Logitech mouse, but, the problem persists. Help. Jim Jim - I am sorry to hear that. I am not a computer expert by any means and most of my remedies are by trial and error. One other thing that I do is to close my browser (firefox),...

Re: "New Post" Icon

Jim - I was having the same problems myself. It is with our Safari browser. I downloaded the newest version of the Mozilla Firefox browser and it was like having a new internet. No more Safari for me. The other big improvement is going to a PC type mouse. Again functions will be revealed that before...

Re: 330 GT rear quarter glass install - advise needed

If you look towards the street rod world that type of material is used in '32 Ford windshields and side windows. When I built my '32 may years ago I had a choice between a rubberized linen material as original and a simple rubber u-channel. My first try would be Steele rubber Mfg. as they have a lot...

Re: Forum Software Upgrade

I wondered about that myself. I'm on a Mac and reduced the car picture to about 20KB. I thought it was one of these PC/Mac incompatable things....

Hello Tom Sorry to hear about your troubles. We had a similar problem with an early Aston Martin V8. Loose seat but no major damage. When apart the head looked fine and it was essentially an inexpensive fix. About 500 miles later another seat came loose and this time it kept the valve from closing w...

Hi David I am not blessed with Ferrari ownership and am mostly lurking on this forum. This thread is interesting to me as it shows that everyone goes through the same tire/wheel struggle as I do with my old cars and bikes. Tire availability is a lot better today than 20 years ago but the reality is ...

Congratulations on that Lathe Tom! I have one just like it except mine has the added gear case for cutting threads. 15 years ago I was able to contact the manufacturer South Bend and they were very helpful. Your lathe's chassis number is under the tail stock at the end of the bed and they have them ...

This is a very interesting thread. It is about the eternal struggle of Man being tempted by the filthy lucre and his reasoning to go either way. If the current trend keeps on going Tom's car will be appreciating sharply. Value increase is rarity driven. How many 330s did they make. I think less than...

Sorry I got a little carried away in my post above, guys. Blame the combination of a little too much Merlot and not quite enough solid food prior to seeing the thread... David - I thought that was a well thought through and nicely accentuated post. Please keep the merlot close to the keyboard at al...

Yale - I always enjoy your posts. To savor the abarth you have to look at Italy's economic history. You would find that Abarth and Ferrari go hand in hand. In the fifties and early sixties Italy was still climbing back up from WW II and many italians had to find work abroad. Those that worked rode t...
