Ignition coil repair/restore?

So I have two old ignition coils and I went to polish them and get them ready for plating. While doing so and given the fact that they had rust and they were pitted pretty badly on the bottom half, one of them sprung a tiny pinhole leak. Can these be repaired/restored or is it a hopeless point? I ha...

Yes I have -- he doesn't have this and recommended Bobileff as a source; he has it but it's the negative image (black background with silver writing). We may have to make this one...

FIAMM sticker /decal

Can anybody kindly advise where I can find this exact sticker?

The ones I find are either 'Tipo M/0' with a smaller diameter, or look different...

Thank you.

Re: One more for the group - refurbishing plastic reservoirs

After some more searching I found the following info regarding reconditioning yellowed plastic:

Looks to me like the bleach method would work the best for irregular surfaces - has anybody tried any of these?

One more for the group - refurbishing plastic reservoirs

IS it even possible, I'm asking about the brake master reservoir, clutch reservoir for example...while originally white with time they become yellow, stained, and old looking?

I don't think it's possible to refurbish plastic but maybe I'm wrong?

Re: R&R A/C condenser 330 GT

dan, not sure about that but my AC guys said the serpentine type ( like mine pictured ) are not as efficient as the new parallel flow condensers, so I am going to replace mine. also, the new ones have real fittings, not the push on type, and are less prone to leaking. Once I get it all done, I will...

Re: R&R A/C condenser 330 GT

Hi,

Is there a recommended way to refinish/refurbish these condenser unit parts? The copper gets dull and tarnished, the aluminium fins get bent and oxidized and also some of the galvanized steel that holds everything together gets dull...

Any best practices to learn from?

Thank you,

/Dan

Refurbishing integrated components?

Hello All, I would like to get your opinion and experiences on refurbishing integrated components, more specifically things that for example need to be plated to look correct but are not easy to do so. Two examples come to mind: -> brake booster(s) that are plated not painted <- do they need to be t...
