Speaking of aircraft stripper, in a previous life I actually used to strip and paint airplanes. 747s. 55 gallon drums of stripper. When stripping the underside of a wing make sure there are no gaps between your head covering and your collar. The back of the neck is kinda tender....

From what I think I remember off the top of my head, Halon extinguishes fires by interrupting or impeding the chemical reaction of oxygen combining with whatever fuel is involved, rather than by displacing oxygen.

Confirmation, anyone?

Tom, I don't presume to know how Ferrari configures their ammeters, but assuming your ammeter has an external shunt, have you checked those connections? My son and I just had an electrical battle with his Mustang. No reverse lights. Turned out to be resistance in the switch on the transmission. Only...

Tom, Back around 1979-1980 I worked on an Irish built 30 passenger turboprop commuter airliner. The name "Lucas" could be seen on many components. As I recall, we all became very proficient at changing the starter-generators. If memory serves, they seemed to last only weeks at a time between repairs...

Tom,

Placing bets sounds like fun, but just what will define the "end" of the restoration?? Don't these things have a beginning but no end, or is that just my impression? Not that that would be a bad thing you understand.... Give us the definition, if you can, and let the wagering begin!
