Oil Pressure relief O-ring size needed.

I would like to replace the oil pressure relief valve O-ring on the 330 GTC engine. The parts manual does not show this O-ring as a loose detail and my old one is somewhat compromised to measure accurately, it's the one that seals around the plunger body, it's about 24mm OD. My usual supplier has be...

Re: Brake bleeding sequence & tricks 250 Gte

Good tip about using teflon tape to prevent false bubbles. This GTC has proven to be one of the easier cars to bleed, except the clutch! It gave me more trouble than you would think.

Merry Christmas and wishing everyone Blue Skies and Soft Landings for 2020.

Re: Brake bleeding sequence & tricks 250 Gte

I've had pretty good luck with the GTC by assembling everything then closing all the bleed screws. I then fill the resevoirs and attach a clear hose to the farthest bleed screw and open it up. Take a break while keeping an eye out to let gravity take over till you get a little flow. Do all the corne...

Re: Air filter assembly

I would not be so quick to bead blast an intake housing of any type, the media gets forced into every corner, fold and lap joint, and vibrations can bring it out. Yes I understand everything will be painted, theoretically sealing in anything that could get loose, but be very careful. Maybe use walnu...

Re: dual point timing, 330 with S85 Dist.

John, I have that book! Thanks.
It confirms what I had planned to do, not exactly, but it should yield the same results, especially if I confirm everything with the car running and a timing light.

Re: dual point timing, 330 with S85 Dist.

Thanks guys, the replies confirm exactly what I was thinking, that I need to make sure both sets of points are accurately timed. I'm surprised there is nothing about this in the GTC manual.

dual point timing, 330 with S85 Dist.

I would like to make sure the second set of points in each distributor is timed (theoretically) at 180 degrees from the first set. I can put a timing light or static test light on the appropriate cylinder for the second set, but is there a trick to moving the point mounting plate? mine fit pretty ti...

Type 42 hub puller for trade

I have a type 42 hub puller, suitable for the 330 GT and others, I would like to trade it for the Type 32 used on the GTC and 275.

Thanks for the sources guys, it looks like I won’t need to reverse engineer the handle from photos.

Re: Hood release handle mechanism

Thanks again Tom, sure get a better picture of the bracket if you can, in your spare time of course

Once I make the bracket I’ll post a picture for posterity.

Re: Weber 40 DFI question

Thanks for the reply Dyke. I’m not ready to go there yet as I have not done any of the prerequisites yet, I was just curious at this point as I’m occasionally getting a light carb pop when pulling from a stop and sometimes at speed when I snap the throttle open, It seems like a slight lean condition...

Re: Hood release handle mechanism

Thanks Tom!
Here’s what I have now, not much to go by, but your picture is a start. I think I’ve seen pictures of the handle and rod, but not the bracket. It looks like the cable is bent up at a right angle, lame design.

Hood release handle mechanism

Does anyone have a photo or reference to what the hood release handle and mechanism looks like? mine is completely missing except some remnants of the bracket welded to the bulkhead.

Weber 40 DFI question

Is there an an adjustment for accelerator pump volume for the 40 DFI Carbs? I reviewed available adjustment procedures and could not find any reference. Car is a later 330 GTC.
