Re: Fan belt sleeve

Parker, the gentleman he is, immediately answered. He is not sure about origin of the sample for the repro sleeve but recommends to compare length of the asigned cars on the fan belt sleeve to the length of the belt on the GTE. Makes absolutely sense to me. Perhaps others have original sleeves too a...

Re: Fan belt sleeve

Hi Martin, my guess is that it is based on the 128 outside plug engine with MM DN63 Dyno because Parker had a S2 PF Cabriolet and his products focus mainly on the 250. So this would be as your Gte. Within the S3 Gte production there was a change to the MM GCA 101. But this is just a guess. As I am n...

Door lock cylinder with key for 250 Gto Giordanengo

Dear All,

I am looking for a good friend for a door lock cylinder with key for 250 Gto Giordanengo. Please see photo.
Here we either need the lock barrel/cylinder with key or a complete unit. The repro Alfa GTA ones do not fit. Any advise is welcomed.

Thanks a lot

This one is on a GTE. I took the photo in Padua. Dimensions would be great to have.

Thanks

Re: Progress on Brakes

Rubber cap is available from Cicognani. I do have an address for new brake balancer, they might be able to provide the seal kit. I can ask them for you.

Hello Cornelis,

sad about Steve Pilkington but very good idea about the parts corner. Would make sense.

Re: Pedal box disassembly

Hi John,

as Martin mentioned that the bearings sit tight in the housing and can not be moved I guees there might be eletrolytical corroions between housing and steel carrier of bearing - see his post above. You are right in that there is only steel between shaft and bearing.

Re: Pedal box disassembly

Hi Martin, As some of the parts are aluminum casting and others steel there is electrolytic corrosion which holds things together. Use a good rust solver to soak for some days. Then clean and carefully heat housing and remove shaft using slight presure, best in form of a puller/ pulling device not h...

Re: Jack Assembly 250/330

Hi Ed,

there was someone at ebay offering these in the US. His ebay name is masernut and he deals mainly in maserati parts. Might be a try contacting him. In addition Kerry Chesbro did an repair and has a report on this on his site. He might be able to help.

Re: 250 GTE window crank

Parts of the Gte S3 window crank are similar to alfa series 101. Do not know for the S1. Might be worth to compare. See link to examples

Re: fuel pump rebuild

Good description. Did it the same way some time ago. Mine even started only on mechanical pump after rebuild without running electrical pump. I build a small teststand to adapt the phenolic spacer for maximum stroke, to test the pump out of the car and measure fuel presure. See picture. It has the s...

Re: Exhaust popping 330GT

Hi Tom,

I use a simple distributor machine from ingenioes.com.
I bought an electronic adapter for 89€ to run also distributors with pertronix systems. It teally works well and I can recommend it.
