screws in door hinges of 250 GTE Series III (1962)
Hi, I have three different types of screws in the door hinges of my series III GTE (1962) - surely these have been messed up during the past 60 years, but which type is genuine?: 1) slotted flat head 2) slotted domed head 3) Phillips domed head And then, how should the finish be? Mine have been cove...

Pininfarina screws
I am looking for these M5 x 10mm screws for my 250 GTE. These were used from Pininfarina for the window mechanism in the doors. The picture attached originates from Cornelis and shows an earlier model with the same screws but slotted. I need the Philips type ones. Can anybody help? Genuine screws pr...

Re: Rust Repair
I have the floor panels of my 250 GTE redone currently and need pictures to support the work. Unfortunately all links here seem dead and the email adress posted doesn’t work either. I also need information about the mysterious fiberglass mats. Which material did you use for replacement? Any help is ...

Restoration of Fiamm Roadmaster compressor
Does anybody know how to remove the little plastic cap from the top plate of the Fiamm Roadmaster compressor? I want to repaint the item but could not find any information how to remove the pin that holds the cap.

Re: Spark plug wrench of 250 toolkit
Hello Tom, I have no doubt that you are right with your assumptions. I am looking to buy a genuine spark plug wrench now and as the price is rather high i do not want to end up buying a false item, that´s why I try to better understand what came from the factory and what is reproduction. Do you know...

Re: Spark plug wrench of 250 toolkit
Hello Tom,
I realized that the spark plug wrench I came across recently looks different to yours - the label shows "Fomes" wheras yours shows something with ...ema. Which of these is the genuine one for a 250 GTE series II? Did it happen that there were different suppliers?
Best regards, Martin

Hello, see pictures attached - this is what it looks like at #3631. The buffers for the painted metal flap look different to mine.

Re: Elektro Board
Hello Andrew, Thank you very much for your offer, the model is the same then. I bought the Tufnol board from GTO and wait for delivery now. I am not sure whether it is drilled already or if I have to do drill the holes myself. I received a picture of an undamaged board on the meantime which should h...

Elektro Board
Hi there, I want to produce a new board for my electric box. It seems that some of the holes were made throughout the years and I hardly know what the original template should look like.
Does anybody have a good picture of an untouched board which I could use as a template?
Regards,
Martin

Re: Fan belt sleeve
John, your picture shows the front page of the card box which was the same for all different sizes of Pirelli fan belts at that time. The interesting thing is the back side with the specific model number of the belt. In the meantime I learnt that the belt for the 250 GT has the measurements 9,5 x 94...

Re: Fan belt sleeve
The fan belt sleeve from Pirelli shows a number at the backside. The reproduction of Kilimanjaro says 60421, an original offered at FCP says 60250.
These numbers specify obviously the exact type of belt - does anybody know the correct number for the 250 GTE?

Spark plug wrench of 250 toolkit
Hello, The spark plug wrench of the original toolkit from the 250 series varied in two different lengths - a long and a short version. I try to figure out which one would be the right model for my 250 GTE #3631. Chris mentioned, that the long version would not work at the outside plug engine models....

Re: Valve Stem Protectors
Thank you John,
I understand that the original stem would not match todays inner tubes / valve outlets due to different measurements. Did you note the final measurements that you machined?
Regards,
Martin
