Meanwhile, I do not have such coverages for my F-cars here in Japan as of yet. Nevertheless, I do take them out as commu...

Hats off

Just to say congrats, Tom. Your 330 looks fabulous and above all, doing the resto yourself makes the world of difference. Just impressive labor of love. Now you have to get the gremlins out of your way. Happy driving. Jimmy

Congratulations !!! 5053 wakes up from long sleep

Congrats, Tom. The long awaited 5053 waking up. Must have been a long wait. I don't know how you could be so patient. Nevertheless, all that waiting and tinkering finally behind you. You certainly deserve, not a gentle pat, but a big kick on your back for your diligence and hard work. Enjoy, enjoy a...

Porsches durability

In reply to Stephanm: What I really meant was, that early 911s have gotten expensive - in relative terms. In general, they have about doubled in the last five years, with S's commanding considerably more. I've owned several 911s (as well as various other 9 series and 356s). They are incredibly fun ...

Parking Spaces

Rudy van Daalen Wetters 1963 GTE s/n 4001 1966 330 GT s/n 8705 Well, Rudy...as you might surmise, real estate is premium here. I live in Yokohama (a city w/ roughly 3.5 million). My house is above aver...

Not really, Rudy. Getting used to this arangement is actually quite advantageous and I find it more easy to drive. The only downside may be in situations like getting a parking ticket from a machine and other minor nuisances. Jimmy

I would think, given the size of some of the streets and the traffic, that the Daytona would be a handful in Tokyo. When I first got my 330 I wrote here about a steady series of issues; the polce motioning to me that almost all my spokes were broken while I was driving down the West Side Highway, t...

First of all, the Japanese classic car market is nowhere near the scope and size of US or Europe. However, there are enough enthusiasts here with exotic collections. As Yale drives his cl...
