This thread is giving me bobina envy, anyone know where I can get a working set BZR -201A with brackets and resistors suitable for 1967/1968 330 cars? old paint and patina acceptable, I suppose gold or red would be ok too, they just have to work.

Re: GTC Recall
After reviewing my post above I would like to mention that the close fit up of the filler piece to the shock mount should probably only be used when using the TIG weld process, this is because the skilled operator will actually melt (fuse) the joint together with a deep enough molten puddle to achie...

GTC Recall
I thought I would post some pictures of what's involved with doing the GTC recall. I'm fortunate to have a very good friend who's a weld engineer and master TIG welder. This is the passenger side

Re: Starter Brush
If you do, let us know part number or application. After much searching and no availability from the usual guys I found a Bosch part that is a perfect match for the Magneti Marelli MT21T starter, unfortunately the Bosch part is not easily found either but I did find a set on Eprey for 15 bucks, the...

Re: Warped carb base
$3,584 plus shipping. Pierce said they were in pretty bad shape, I thought so too. They now look new and will be the best looking thing on my scruffy car.tinbender wrote:How much does this cost?

Re: Warped carb base
I received my carbs back from Pierce, In addition to repair of the warped bases the bores needed work with new throttle plates. They look good but I'll reserve my final judgement utill I get them bolted on and tuned.

Re: Fuse panel clean up
Tom, the heavy copper staples are original, that is how they did the jumpers. As for the "black" wires, do not assume they are all grounds. You may want to trace them out if you can, or measure them to see if there is any voltage on them. I did trace one down and it was a ground wire to the windshi...

Re: Fuse panel clean up
Thanks for the comments. I did clean up the connector blocks, I took them off the panel and polished the insides as well as the wire ends and the staples, one block had some apparently home made staples made from heavy copper wire. Another interesting thing I found was several un-landed ground wires...

Re: Hub Pullers
Thanks guys. I too have used those methods. I was really looking to distinguish the repop hub pullers from the real ones. There is some subtleties in machining but was looking for that smoking gun. Price differences are usually a tell tale but even the sellers that say they are "original tool kit i...

Fuse panel clean up
My latest project while I wait for my radiator. I cleaned up the fuse panel and all the connections. I also inspected and bench tested all the relays. One of the confusing things about the wiring diagram is that it doesn't show how many terminals are landed on each fuse...it gets crowded in there. T...

Re: Daytona Driveability Problem
John: Car is confirmed to have stock rear axle ratio. I know it's a long shot but what about the first gear ratio? Did Ferrari offer different gear ratios? I know Porsche did, I found this while on a Porsche club meet many years ago in 356C, we were driving in the mountains of Colorado and I was sm...

Re: Hub Pullers
I need a hub puller for both the front and rear hubs but I don't want to pay for an expensive original or reproduction. Does anyone know a source for a just a regular workshop tool, or from some other model car that doesn't carry Ferrari Tax. I've got 32 type hubs.

Re: original fuel hose ferrules
Thanks Tom, i am definitely going to try tour trick. Thanks for sharing it. john John, If you like I will be happy to loan you the pins, but you should measure the actual hose you are going to use to make sure my final sizing pin will be big enough. The final size for my hoses only allowed a bare s...

Re: original fuel hose ferrules
Tom, do the curled ends of the nuts deform at all from the press? Thanks. john John, I think you are referring to the radius...yes it did ever so slightly flatten the end but it didn't seem to deform the radius, I suppose one could work it out with another small pin but it didn't seem worth it. Loo...
