I'm not sure what I'll do when this car is done, but a GTC would be nice! I've basically resigned myself to never owning a Lusso considering what has happened to their prices in the last year or two! ...and to think we were complaining about how that barn-find-Lusso-wreck sold for $75K a few years a...

O.K. Here's a list of things I still have to do to make the show: 1. Finish the dash 2. Cover the interior trim pieces with headliner material 3. Finish the grille 4. Find the fuel leak that still is in the rear of the car. 5. Finish the seatbelt installation. 6. Fix minor details inside the car The...

Hi All,

Although it's a long shot, I'm going to try to get the 330 America there!

I've got a two RW-3812s for sale if anyone is interested. They're rusty, but rebuildable.

Hi Charles,

Susupension pieces such as control arms will have to canibalized, but the bushings are available, and the shocks are rebuildable by Koni.

Trying to convince the wife on the purchase is just the beginning! Hiding the reciepts of the repairs will be ongoing! You do know distributor caps are $200+ each, and you'll need two? How about $2700 dollar exhaust systems? I'm not trying to scare you away, but if you think BMW parts are $$$... I a...

Hi Luke,

I'm not sure if I can attend as I don't subscribe to the Registry! I am, however, planning on hosting a second annual Monterey weekend get together on Thursday night. This time you'll be able to stay out late since it's in the same motel!

Hi Charles, Welcome! Having lived in Savannah for a couple years, I can understand your concerns for air conditioning! While my dash is out, I'm going to make some measurements for Michael Greenspan so we can continue his research into fitting a/c in his 330 America. Be aware that insulation may be ...

Hi Luke,

Have you tried calling Fred Petroski in NY? He may have a headlight ring. Geoff Ohland of Partsource in ME may have the gaskets and a licence plate frame.

Did I miss something? What happened to the car?

Hi Guys, Some of us have more questions to ask than answers, so I certainly don't want to turn anyone away because they ask too much. I knew very little about Ferrari several years ago, and if not for the generosity of the Ferrari knowledgeable, I would still know nothing! I created this website to ...

Hi Tony,

I can't believe it hasn't sold yet! With money so cheap from low interest rates it's amazing no one has made the leap to Vintage Ferrari ownership.

Let's hope your car goes to a good owner!

Hi Ken,

Dime sized holes usually turn out to be much larger holes when you remove all the loose rust.

Do you know how to weld? Anything else will be temporary and may trap more moisture causing the rust to continue.

Hi Michael,

I'm not sure if I've read warnings about multigrade oils in older engines, but I've heard of problems with synthetics.

I've seen Baldwins burst as well as Frams, but they have always happened on cold starts on cold days. The thick oil, and high pressure can do it!

Do it because you love it, or else you'll never reap the rewards of this car. Although we can all agree that this car is worth less than $15K to someone who wants to restore it, it's worth more to someone who will part it out. These cars end up with the higher bidder, and usually that means the end ...
