Glove box repair
Hello, the bottom of my glove box has been replaced with card board and I need to recreate it from alloy as it was originally. Can anybody send pictures please which show how it should look like - especially at the edges? And was it covered with trim on the underside or shall it be left raw alloy th...

plating of screws
Hello, the screws at my doors (see picture / screws 16 - 20) seem to be chromed. The same type of screws are used at other positions than the 2 doors and are cadmium plated there. The question is whether these visible screws at the doors have been chromed originally from the factory or if one pre-ow...

Screws during the paint job
Does anybody know whether the screws for trunk lid, engine hood and fuel filler flap are originally covered with the paint from the paint job or are these black oxide? My assumption is that the engine hood was removed from the Ferrari factory after receiving the body from Pininfarina for better acce...

Re: Red rubber protection hose
Yes this is most likely factory fitted. This red hose shows spatters of black undercoating and looks 1960‘s throughout. It would be helpful if others with knowingly original GTEs could inform about their red hoses.

Red rubber protection hose
Does anybody know a source where to get the red rubber hose that protects the fuel hose from the tank to the filter?

Re: Chrome bumber iron covers 250, 330…..??
Hello Chris,
can‘t particularly answer your questions, but mine from a series II GTE (#3631) look different in size and shape for both, front and rear bumpers. See pictures attached. I am looking to either restore these ore find some in better condition for a reasonable price.
Best regards,
Martin

I am to produce concours correct battery cables and these pictures certainly would help. Unfortunately I cannot open these despite being logged in. Can anybody help? What do I have to do to make these pics visible?

Re: letters on heater fan - 250 GTE Series II
I found the solution in an Alfa forum as these cars also used Becme fan motors. The second stamp shows the date of production! In case of my car 4 for April makes sense according to the production date of #3631 and the missing 2 digits obviously are 62. When looking thoroughly at my fan housing you ...

Re: screws in door hinges of 250 GTE Series III (1962)
Thank you Tom, your help is very much appreciated! I do only recall painted screws, however, most likely any car I have ever seen was re-sprayed throughout these many years. The best hint would be an unrestored car with original paint. Finding such an untouched survivor is a little like the search f...

letters on heater fan - 250 GTE Series II
Hi, I am to restore the heater fan of my 250 GTE (series II from 1962) and want to replicate the painted letters of the stamp after the fresh paint job. When removing the oily dust the letters partly disappeared and I need to know how the whole stamp looks like. Does anybody know or even have a help...
