I think the accelerator height is ok -- the throttle has a very long throw and it goes to the ground. I bit the bullet and moved it, left the bottom screw in place and rotated it around to relocate the other 2 screws. I suspect I might need to remove the back screw as per Tom's comment, it seems lik...

Take a look at where the plate is mounted relative to the accelerator pedal travel. In deciding where to mount the plate, the factory obviously envisioned much more time spent with the driver's foot pressing down a lot further on the loud pedal than you're doing. Simplest solution is just to drive ...

I probably won't get a chance to look at it until this weekend, but I had just had the scuff plate off a couple weeks ago and I think (not absolutely sure) that it was held on sheet metal screws rather than bolts with nuts on the other side. The screws/washers looked original, but I don't know that ...

Thanks Warren. It never even occurred to me that it might be wear because of the uniformity of the pattern. It looks like the scuff plate was not originally placed in the ideal position. I'm not sure I will do this, but it seems like moving the existing plate an inch or so rearward would cover the e...

scuff plate on 330GT carpet
My carpet has a triangular bald patch next to the scuff plate -- it looks like another scuff plate or something else was originally on the carpet, but I don't know what was there and haven't seen anything like that in other 330GT interior photos. Does anybody know what belongs there? http://i96.phot...

If the engine didn't match, it would be nice to at least get a reply from Ferrari saying that. My experience was that it does not reject back for a bad numbers. I think if the entries are the right format but the wrong values, it seems to accept them without error but then they just don't send the ...

Re: no luck ! :(
Unfortunately I had no luck and received the message below :( . I know they have them because they e-mailed me the colors when I asked along time ago. At the time I was trying to get the build sheets and they said they we not legible and they gave me the color scheme only. I thought it would nice t...

I made the same mistake a few weeks ago -- entered 8169 for both VIN and engine code. It said it accepted the registration, but the certificate never arrived. I just tried again with VIN 8169GT and engine code 1362, and it gave an error saying it didn't have any records. I tried again with VIN 8169 ...

I hope all the regular users contribute, Tom deserves our support. I hope it's not just the regulars. I get a ton of information out of this site but don't (yet) have much to contribute -- therefore I actually feel more obligated to contribute than if I were a regular poster. I am very happy to hel...

I managed to insult both of your cars with just one post. Owen -- I'm not even slightly insulted. Yale did the same in the other thread with comments on Mondials and 2-headlight 330's. Also not even slightly insulted. The Mondial has been the most rewarding car I've ever owned -- which really goes ...

I wrote to Gliptone to see if there is a difference -- will report back when I hear from them. The reply from Gliptone indicates they are the same even though the packaging and instructions are different: Gliptone email response: Almost Identical. You would not notice any difference. As I mentioned...

This thread can't possibly turn out well, but what the heck... I haven't seen an example, so it may look great in person, but from a purely name standpoint I think "prugna" (prune) has a place on the list. Prugna is a love or hate color, but I like it and, in fact, spent a long time trying to find ...
