I just recently had the same Task. I used the rubber of a motorcycle tube. Bevor Installation I soaked it with rubber protective oil. After this it fits perfectly. For cutting the excessive rubber I inserted the blade of a cutter knife to protect the glass.
Greetings from Germany

Re: Grill Fab Thread
I have my disassembled grille on the workbench right now. The egg crate pieces have been painted with clear laquer. I have sanded them down and polished. In my case they were restorable. For the grille surround made of aluminum I found silver paint. I think this was not the original surface. Does an...

Tom,
you are lucky it happened with a 250 GT and not with a van in case of bridges and overpasses.
Hopefully nothing serious for 4247!

Paint question
As I am preparing #8741 for a complete respray a question came up. Where was originally the dividing line between body shell color and underfloor color. At my car there was black color at the lower section of the door sills and at the back up to the spare wheel tray but I guess this was later added,...

Re: GT 330 floor panels
After some research I could find out : The material they used for the floor panels seems to be Epoxy resin. Color is more yellow than Polyester. Also when cutting or grinding Epoxy it does not smell. Polyester smells like Styrol.I grinded my floor panel to smoothen it - no smell. Epoxy has a higher ...

GT 330 floor panels
It looks like some unskilled persons tried to jack up my GT 330 at the floor panels. To bring the big dent back in shape I need to reinforce the resin, but I do not know what type of resin Pininfarina used. Is it poyester resin or did they use epoxy resin. I need to know because the 2 different resi...

Re: Name the car onto which this elegant part goes
Dave,
you asked for dimensions of the 330 steering wheel hub:
Length 45mm (what is visible in assembled position)
Groove width about 17mm, slightly tapered (groove for the assembling nuts)
These dimensions are from SN 8741

Re: POR 15
Hello Cornelis, I am using the POR tank cleaning and coating (silver color) set for inside since 6 years with no negative experience. I have treated my 90l barrel from my GT 330 with it. But not yet filled up. Before I used it on 3 motorcycle tanks. Now in operation with normal modern fuel since 5 y...

Pininfarina Paint
I am facing a respray of 8741. As it is still the original paint I do not want to sand down to bare metal. At least not the areas where no corrosion is obvious. Does anybody know what kind of paint the Pininfarina Factory did use. I assume it was a one component paint. My paint shop asked me the ques...

Sorry, but I do not understand which part number you mean. I checked Eurospares UK according to their oneline catalogue charts and it was not on stock.

Re: Rubber kit for 330 GT clutch master cylinder
Warren, thanks for your hint. The Fiat channel I also verified. It looks I can get a new master cylinder for $ 125.- from italian Ebay. Similar to Fiat1500 OSCA and may be also Fiat convertible 1200-1500. Still I think that it seems like a british part as diameter of master cylinder is exactly 1 inc...

Same situation for me,
anybody knowing the Lokheed/Girling SP xxxx number for repair sealing sets pof clutch master cylinder. For me from Germany much easier to check british suppliers as also often used or british cars.
