I need a fine thread (1.0mm) 10 X 105 mm bolt for my 330GT rear leaf spring suspension.
Anyone have any idea where I might find one?

Amelia Island
Anyone want a free ticket (for two, I guess) for the Gooding & Co Breakfast 9 --- 10:30 AM Friday, March 8 at the Racquet Part, Omni Amelia Island Plantation?
And I still cannot remove the rear spring shackle on my 330GT. Any suggestions?
And I need a 10 X 105 mm bolt that I broke.

Re: Maintenance
As for the cracked block, there is just conjecture here about why it cracked. Were the transmission mounts old and that created flex? Were there many issues with Ferrari's four mount 330 blocks (Scott has repaired three others with exactly the same type of crack) and that is why Ferrari went to two...

Re: Maintenance
I am about to rebuild my rear suspension. I have all the parts (having spent untold number of dollars). I have made a spring retainer (compressor if you will). So far, I have loosened the driver's side exhaust where it goes into the two-to-one pipe. That side is crooked and I want to see if I can fi...

Re: SII rear reflector placement
Guys During judging there is occassionally a debate about how these should be installed Here is a period example photographed less than 2 years from production http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/vintage-thru-365-gtc4-sponsored-redline-restorations/397032-330-leonidas-trujillo-found-dead-sale-after-40...

Re: Tool Bag
Thanks Kerry, I just went thru all this and used the hole of that little plug screw to pull out/put in the cotter pin that goes in the pinion shaft castle nut. I am curious as to what is there that needs to be greased. There is no moving part there. There is just a cavity and that cavity is where t...

Re: Oil Rear GT330 Leaf Springs?
Is it possible to see if the bushings are badly worn without taking the whole spring out? For example, I think that the rear mounting is more accessible . Is it possible to remove the mounting bolt inside the bushing and pry the spring our far enough to examine the bushing, without 1) having the spr...

Some pictures on http://www.330gt.com/Encyclopedia/Clutch.htm#Hydraulic. Al, of course, you are making this much too difficult. Lowell Brown's spring had evidently broken prior to his purchase. I was looking up under the dash one day and noticed some wire and a screen door turn buckle used to adjus...

Re: Oil Rear GT330 Leaf Springs?
As I suspected, the factory worker who wrote the Owners Manual for the 250 GTE just copied the section from the earlier 250 Inside Plug Manual. However, he FAILED to copy ALL the instructions. The Inside Plug Manual states essentially the same instructions for lubricating the springs, BUT goes on t...

Re: Oil Rear GT330 Leaf Springs?
It would be the wrong thing to do to oil the leaf springs. Can imagine how nasty they will look after road dust settles on them? Anyone seen the prehistoric leather diapers that the early British cars had for the leaf springs? They'd fit tightly around the entire length of the spring and they had a...

Re: Oil Rear GT330 Leaf Springs?
According to the owner's manual, the leaf springs should be disassembled every 10K km, cleaned with gasoline, oiled and re-assembled. Picture2.jpg Picture3.jpg However, I don't know of anybody doing that.[/quote] I thought that I had read that some place, but could not find it in the owner's manual ...

Oil Rear GT330 Leaf Springs?
I do not think that my rear leaf springs are working correctly. Should they be oiled somehow? If remove the rear wheels so that the axle housing is held up by the wire ropes, will the leaves separate a little? Could I spray WD40 to loosen things up and then try to add oil that might be wicked in? Wo...

Re: 330GT rear coil over shocks
Lowell, does your car have both leaf and coil-overs? The Lusso does and maybe that's why mine came apart without too much elbow force. I could see where the Lusso's coils would be weaker because they are helpers to the leaf springs. john Yes, they are just helpers for the main leaf springs. Kerry t...

Re: 330GT rear coil over shocks
I did this job just 4 weeks ago at my 330 and I was unable to do it without spring compressors. I can check the force now, if there is a request. I am not sure if there were different spring caracteristics were used. My coil springs where marked white and green with paint at a small spot. I had exp...
