Dyke,
Here is Scott McPhee's write up of his head work. I guess he replaced the removeable seats and that this was mis-represented in the Forza article. He is not the clearest communicator but there are pictures http://buildandtune.com/?page_id=3085

Tom's site is not set up so that you can link to anything mentioned in it you just get the front page of the site with all links.

Re: Maintenance
I don't get Forza Magazine anymore so I hadn't seen that article until tonight. Let me say for the record that though I wrote out quotes for the writer he made up what he has me saying and much else in the article is not based in any actual facts. So what the hell, is all I can say. How annoying.

Re: Maintenance
Hey Dyke, Couple of questions. How often have you had to re-bush a 60's era Ferrari that is driven? Given that my upper and lower control arm bushes were done about seven years ago and Tom thought they should be done again perhaps that is their lifespan? What did you think about what I had to say ab...

Re: Maintenance
My computer locked up and I wasnt able to edit or continue my post below. Sorry. Anyway if there was a maintance book that stayed with the car one would know what had been done and what should be done. You deal with cars you are probably the only caretaker for over many years. We who don't work on o...

Re: Maintenance
Hey Dyke, Well you know I'm just a civilian so Tom Wilson's comment about me knowing anything about my engine rebuild is not really accurate. However as far as I understand it you can only do so many valve jobs on a Ferrari block before you need to do extensive work. Scott McPhee did all the work on...

Maintenance
The first car I ever owned was a ten year old Mercedes diesel station wagon. This car came with all the books and tools as cars often do when not subjected to the hording type dealers we come in contact with in the Ferrari world. Among those items was a book that laid out the maintenance schedule fo...

Re: 330 GT belly pan on eBay
So not only did this guy make a killing on this decrepit car but he took random parts off it as well. I guess it doesn't matter if its just going to be a donor anyway. Anyone know what plans are in store for that moldy mess? I guess that is one car I could understand becoming a Shaughnessy special.

Re: Horn button ferrari 1948-1952 ?
Which Momo is that Cornelius? The Momo collector value thing is getting pretty heated up I notice. Don't you think it messes up the look, especially on the 2 + 2's which aren't race cars? It's like those 2 + 2 owners with super fat racing seatbelts, it feels presumptuous. Better to just not crash. A...

Re: Radiators
Yeah 8-10 years ago a radiator core for our cars was something like $350 this year I paid over $900. Perhaps you could ask your guys what they are charging these days? I think China has been buying up all the radiator cores (smiley face here that works with Toms site and lets those reading know that...

Re: Ashes to Ashes
My ashtray is not in the greatest shape nor do I have the inner tray so if any if you euro parts stash savants have a solution, I'm all ears. I did bid up to $350 for a new one on ebay in 1990. Guess I should have kept going.

Re: Radiators
I am on my fifth radiator out operation and perhaps third or fourth re-core. Three different mechanics by the way. The last time it cost $1600! to take the radiator out and re-core it. Please someone come up with a way for us east coast guys to have someone remake these for us as well. And John PLEA...

Re: Oil Rear GT330 Leaf Springs?
Hey Tom, did you make white Teflon bushings for my springs like you have on your car? Am I just looking at the old and not the new bushings in your photos? (From Berlin, after driving on the autobahn at 110mph in a new rented bmw and have people blow by me I can see the reason for a new Ferrari or P...
