Re: Front Suspension
1000002333-1.jpg That's great, Ed. I'll just wrap a couple of layers of an old inner-tube strip around it and clamp down with my vice-grips. I'm trying to find ways to avoid taking my car to have work done on it. I don't trust the youngsters who work in garages these days. I'm sure their intentions...

Re: Brake booster/equalizer
I'm trying to disassemble the front brake equalizer for my PF coupe. The one came apart (with the help of an impact wrench). However, I can't get the other end to budge, even after applying some heat. I was just using a propane torch, so haven't used serious heat yet. Any tricks? I presume that the...

Cornelis, I (and everyone else, I think) meant all of this IN FUN. (Right, Rudy?) Hope nothing got lost in translation here; that can happen when we get to be too clever tossing around idioms, etc. Regards, as always. s Steve, When there is one man in this world who has Humor, Than its me... Re: Borrani wheel cleaning
I have a number of good aluminum polishing compounds that I use, but no matter what, it's a royal PITA, or should I say a pain in the fingers. A finger stuck between the wires in the heist of most intensive polishing is most certainly a serious case or PITF. Last time it took 5 weeks for the pain t...

Re: Borrani wheel cleaning
As they say on WFAN radio..."First time, long time." First post for me, but I've been visiting the site for years. Great job Tom. After a long mechanical restoration, I'm finally driving the GTC….and wouldn’t you know, the wheels got brake dust all over them. I’ve searched this site and others and ...

Re: Wire wrapped oil/fuel line removal
OK, I will try to explain to make the yellow/Brown tubes correctly. My englisch is not the best, but so what. All the simple work wil be carry out without glu or orther stuff: DRY the outside thread (spiraal ,spring??), must be longer than the inside thicker cupper spring/wire. So cut out about 1 cm...

Re: Wire wrapped oil/fuel line removal
I would have thought the small holed tube would connect to the block not the pressure gauge. The line that feeds the pressure gauge, does it supply oil to some other part of the engine? Typically the oil line used for reading the oil pressure just goes to the gauge and therefore the line is deadhea...

Re: Wire wrapped oil/fuel line removal
Kerry, you don't replate the collars again , When you buy new aftermarket yellow and brown lines. the diameter of those tubes is slightly BIGGER, the old collars don't fit. Second, the connector of the oil pressurre line which is behind the oil pressure instrument on the dash is almost closed, that ...

Re: 2nd Gear Synchro
I am looking for a Ferrari 2nd Gear synchro for Daytona, 275GTB, or similar vintage gearbox, as I understand they all use the same. I suspect that most of the folks here would use the same type synchro's. (Clarification on which vehicles used this same synchro would be helpful if anyone would care ...
