Re: 330GTC engine breather
Thanks DWR, that is pretty much what we are thinking. The cam covers both look to have been undisturbed for some time but then again we don't anything about the history or how long it has been stood.Do you know when the 'closed' breather system was introduced?

330GTC engine breather
We are puzzled because we seem to have a 330GTC (9069GT) in the workshop with no engine breather. It is a 'barn find' 330GTC that has been stood for a number of years, which means we don't know anything about it's history. The car will need a full restoration including an engine rebuild but will nee...

Re: Paint Code Labels
Thanks Timo. That was what I needed and had not seen them on eBay. Good man.
Now I need a photo so I can see the area it was applied and how it was filled out.

Re: Boxer Engine Removal
I have removed a Boxer engine a number of times, teh last time was a month ago. It can be done without removing the belhousing. I usually disconnect teh A/C and leave teh compressor on teh engine, although I usually remove the Webers and header tank. I can post more photos if anyone is interested. [...

Re: Paint Code Labels
Timo, I am looking specifically for a Glidden Salchi paint label and could not see these on the Eurospares website. If you saw these perhaps you could give me the URL please.

Paint Code Labels
I need a Glidden Salchi paint code label for my 76 Boxer but I am having trouble finding one. I checked with Parker Hall but he is unable to help and suggested I check the suppliers page here, but I can't see any alternatives. Lyle Tanner has one but I am in the UK and his shipping is expensive (alt...

330GT engine #6009
I found an advert in the UK for a 330GT engine reputedly with the engine number 6009. I don't know if it is a scam or a real advert - I am trying to get more details from the seller, as I wold like to buy this engine. Does anyone here know any information on this engine? Does the engine number even ...

400 Auto engine and gearbox rebuild (pictures)
As many know I rebuilt the engine and auto box on my 1977 400 last year. It took a long time, mainly as I could only work on it at weekends. I kept a photographic record as I went along and I have at last got around to posting the pictures on the web. If your interested these are at: http://www.free...

400 auto gearbox problem
I have rebuilt the GM400 gerabox in my 400 and was very careful to follow the GM workshop manual to the letter. New seals, bearings, clutches and band were fitted. I have refitted the box to the car and have a major problem. When I put the car in reverse it does not move properly, it just creeps ver...

I don't think your problem is caused by air seeping through the wheel; it is more likely to be caused by water. I had the same problem on my 400, which also has these magnesium alloy wheels. Below is an extract for an article I wrote for a magazine that describes the problem and the solution: "It wa...
