Re: speedometer drive
Correct. The angle drive is a direct drive gear to gear contact. I don't understand where the lagging could be. With the angle drive moving freely and the cable moving freely how could there be a hang up. I don't know how the gear inside the overdrive, that is making contact with the angle drive ge...

Re: speedometer drive
C. All removed as in picture. Internal gear spinning appropriately with no marred or missing teeth. As I put it back together I was able to insert a small flat screwdriver into the piece protruding from the overdrive unit that the angle drive screws into. I then spun the driveshaft with my left han...

Alternator not charging
For the past 5 months I have been having charging issues. Being that #5749 had been completely disassembled, redone and re assembled the natural assumption, that I was hearing for this issue, was with the "guy who wired the car" That dirty end of the stick kept pointing at me. Prior to re installing...

Update.
After reinstalling, with the shim, the weeping has seemed to have stopped after running it about 100 miles.

Re: Electrical Panel
I always thought the earlier 330's had the 12 fuse block. I believe you can go to Kerrys 330 website and see the differences in detail.

Re: Hood Pad
Hi Tim No real weave pattern to it. I tried to get a close up as best I could to show that. I have seen some reproduced pads that are out there with a distinctive weave to it. I am sure it does the job but I don't think it as correct looking. The under material used as the insulator we searched a wh...

Re: Hood Pad
After doing some searching the closest match to the silver/grey 330 pads come from a company HVL in the Netherlands. Cost, to the door, is about $1,150.00. I went to the upholsterer I am using and we both began to search for the right material and look. Using some original pictures, he made me the o...

Did you use a new seal? Just curious about the spring tension.

Series 1 Water Pump
I just thought I would share some information for all us "ugly duckling", 4 headlight guys. The series 1 waterpump is different from the 250GTE, 330 America, and later 330GT's. It is one shaft with the impeller and seal mating surfice driven soley by the belt coming of the crank pulley. Not from a p...

Re: Hood Pad
Hi Tim, Just as a reference the one that came on my car was black. The gentleman who I bought the car from purchased #5749 in the late seventies. The pad, I believe, is original to the car. It is in pretty rough shape and I am having one made as we speak. In reference to the above comment I was inc...

Re: Front Wheel Bearing Preload - 330GT
Dave, Adding to what Tom and Kerry have posted I had the same or similar play. My kingpin was worn from lack of grease. I have heard of a couple of fixes for it. I decided to remove the kingpin and have it spray welded. It was then tuned down to the correct diameter. No more play. I have also heard ...

Re: 330 Series 1 Nose Panel
Perfect. Thanks Tim! You didn't happen to notice if your build number was stamped into that panel anywhere. It would be the same number seen on your rear and front wheel well aluminum panels, hood latch, rear trunk lid latch, trunk pan (where the spare tire holding mount is located), etc. Just curio...
