Re: Hose clamp ID
I've seen some of these clamps on a 365, but not on a 330GTC. Exactly when Ferrari changed over to these wire type hose clamps is anyone's guess. On 330GTCs, the heater hoses usually had the split pin steel strap type hose clamp, Cheneys were still used on the larger hoses. Tom Thanks for the reply...

Re: Hose clamp ID
I did a search but had no joy identifying a type of hose clamp that was on the heater hoses of my car, a late 330 GTC, as well as a few other locations. Can anyone tell me if this an original type clamp and if there is a source for them? The heater hoses on my car are undoubtedly original and these...

Re: 330 GTC Brake Booster
11157, early 1968 car, unrestored, apparently gold cad plated with Mfg. sticker intact. I'm ignorant about what is correct for your car but thought I would share the photo.
Good luck with the rebuild, please report on outcome. I'll surely need this done too.

Re: 330 GT 2+2 #8379
Tom, here's my email; tmartinez@martinezandturek.com Email me for my phone number if you want to talk. I have about 20 pictures of your car before the work was done, similar to what's on Kerry's site. I may also have info that has not been passed on to you as well as a contact info to another party ...

Well done!
I test drove your car about 18 months ago, a private party owned it at the time. I ended up buying a GTC. PM me if your interested in the details or information I was given about the car...don't worry, nothing bad.

Re: GTC fuel pump and clutch work
Steve, very good questions. I did not buy the part from a vendor. I bought the tube from my FLAPS, the M12x 1.25 DIN tube nut was bought on Ebay ( it was the only place I could find one) I also needed to buy the bubble flare too, I had the 37 degree tube flare tool in my tool chest. I got waylayed b...

GTC fuel pump and clutch work
While sorting out my clutch hydraulic system, I found a leak where the steel pressure line connects at the master cylinder, the flare and tube were damaged and not sealing, so I replaced the whole line. This tube has two different flares; the one at the master is an ISO/DIN type bubble flare, 115 de...

Re: New slave cylinder failure
OkI got it, I misundertood your post, I thought you meant 1/4 at the rod.....thanks for the clarification. How did I work on cars before the internet?DWR46 wrote:Jumprun: I think that .3mm between the pushrod and the master piston will translate to about 1/8-1/4" at the pedal.

Re: New slave cylinder failure
Steve: In continuing our clutch discussion, you want to adjust the free play at the master (up under the dash) to about 1/8- 1/4 " at the pedal. You do not need more as all additional play does is reduce the overall clutch disengagement. As long as you have some free play at the master, you are fin...

Re: New slave cylinder failure
Tom, I believe you are correct, thinking back a few weeks I found quite a bit of clearance between the pedal rod and the master cylinder piston, so not questioning it, I adjusted the excessive clearance out, so maybe the master cylinder was not fully retracting causing the slave to not fully retract...

Re: New slave cylinder failure
What would prevent the slave piston from fully retracting? a miss-adjustment of the pedal plunger at the master? some other problem with the master?
Sorry about the multiple posts, but any advice would be appreciated.

Re: New slave cylinder failure
I stand corrected about a "sleeve" being forced out, there is no "sleeve" it's just the boot seal groove machined in the body of the slave cylinder, an optical illussion brought on by my ingnorance, so why was the piston forced out?

New slave cylinder failure
As some readers have noticed, I recently did a clutch job on my 1968 330 GTC, just prior to that I had a leaking slave cylinder that I replaced with a new one bought from one of the usual suppliers. Attached are photos of the failure which shows the sleeve forced out of the housing with the piston a...
