Re: afwrench
Tho' I didn't know Mike, I'd seen his many posts and gained knowledge from his generous thoughts. However, since Tom Martinez and I both owned GTCs, we emailed from time to time, exchanged parts for fabrication and shared embellished tales at the Quail when Tom Y. had his Monterey meet and greets. A...

Daytona Trim/Paint Question
There's an aluminium strip that runs at the bottom of the rocker panels; about 2" in width. Is that supposed to be body panel color or semi-gloss black?

Re: Daytona Brake Caliper Rebuild
I was able to rebuild mine, so it can't be that hard. I did have to get professional help to get the pistons out of the bore, and it was a few years ago, so I'll probably miss a few things, but i know that you use compressed air to blowout the pistons, gently hone the bores, use the special brake lu...

Re: 330 door mirrors
Just installed a Fosseway clip on mirror on my '64 XKE. Easy, non-destructive design and easy placement; nice period look, fast shipping from England, and great owner communication. So far,so good. s

Re: 330 door mirrors
Never say never! I will admit that I've always thought that these "clip-on" or "clamp-on" mirrors were ugly. However, I find that I may be in need of one or both side mirrors on my (new to me) '64 XKE/ OTS. I raised this conundrum over on the Jaguar-Lovers forum, and a number of people who own Briti...

Re: 330 door mirrors
Well, I cast my vote with those who favor the mirror; both sides if possible. I've been impressed with the number of times that's impossible to get the right side mirror to give a good view, while simultaneously being symmetrical with the driver's mirror when viewed from the front or back, straight ...

How about O.D.D. parts in California? I know they fix a lot of different kinds of switches not sure about wiper motor, but that would be my first choice. If you need more information about them let me know thanks Steve

Re: Daytona headlight lifters
Oh never you mind! If you own a Daytona, you might want to file this information away and hope you never needed. All years of Porsche 914's appear to use the same motor which is a 914 62411411, which is the left side, I believe. At any rate, they are no longer available new, so you'll end up with a ...
