Re: Dying Daytonaspider beauty?
Hi Cornelis, I've never seen a large bolt rot that badly, Tom I have ! My C4 sat for at least 15 years. When I took the rear fuel filter apart the filter itself was just rubble and the bolt was worse than that one. Lucky there are 2 more filters and a water trap between the first filter (which was ...

Re: FCA 2011 - Savannah
Bryan told me that hay-hauler is also used to haul hogs and moonshine to market, so it is a versatile rig. Ricky Bobby has also been seen driving it to local race tracks out in the boonies.TOMKIZER wrote:Dempsey, are you going to drive your platinum hay-hauler down there?

Re: Cavallino 2011
alas, i will not be making the trip this year. My discretionary funds are going to the completion of my garge fit-out (I built the shell 12 years ago). Re Cavallino, the only friendly advice I can give, is to slowly (or quickly) back away when Dr. Dugger puts on the rubber gloves . . . . Well you c...

I don't know why the same photo above was uploaded twice. Maybe Tom Y thought that it was such a great Ferrari event shirt that he decided to post it up twice !!

Re: 250 Pionion Shaft Seal
Looks like a standard seal to me. Just take ID, OD and thickness and go to any seal/bearing place and they will have them for $5 to $10.

Elizabeth Two suggestions. One is use the internet to search for cars eg http://www.finecars.cc/en/find/list/index.html?no_cache=1 Just type in the details. I just did and it came up with 3 cars in SoCal (none in the Bay area unfortunately) 2 in LA and 1 in San Diego The second suggestion is check o...

So who is planning on going? I am from Australia and am thinking about doing a USA trip to go to the Cavallino next year. Tentative plan is: Fly to NYC mid Jan and stay there for a few days as a tourist. Get a lift with someone in an old banger down to Cavallino. Tom K, Tom Y, Michael B, Sam, etc Br...

Re: FCA Judging
For the most part, the old cars are overwhelmed by not only the new cars, but the new car owners. And that really is where the story ends. This is a hobby and like all hobbies it is an oportunity to socialize with others who have a shared interest. When that shared interest is so much in the minori...
