Cleaning Spoked Wheels - Lend me your Pro Tips!

I spent a lot of time cleaning my wheels yesterday and have the bruised knuckles to prove it! In the end, I rate the result OK. What have you guys done to make this more efficient, better and hopefully less painful.... And as long as we are on the topic, my rear wheels were a bit dirty, but the fron...

Re: TV Car Restorations and Makeovers

So which shows are worth watching? I gave up after watching cars being restored in "24 hours" and the cheap work they did to make it so. I always wondered what the buyers at auction thought after they bought a car and then saw the work done on Chasing Classic Cars to get it there. So far, Tom's vide...

Re: kick plates

I remember going to Danchuk to ask if we could get those panels before they were cut for Chevy's. I talked to couple of salesmen to no avail, then called a manager or two with no further luck. About a week later I got a call from Mr. Danchuk saying he had heard about me at a sales meeting and wonder...

Re: Gas Filler Overflow Pipe

Great. Newco has it for considerably more than other retailers seem to have and they gave it a warning to not be used with fuel! I think I will shop around.

Re: Gas Filler Overflow Pipe

Thanks Chris, that is very helpful. It maybe green from the gas or age, but in any case, it seems to be how one should look in a car that is being used! I will see what is available out there.

Re: Gas Filler Overflow Pipe

Think it is the same macaroni hose as the oil drains? And what are you doing up at this hour?

Gas Filler Overflow Pipe

Can anyone send me a photo of the pipe that catches any spilled gas from the filler area? It can be seen inside the trunk. Mine is missing and the trunk is starting to smell a bit!

Re: Brake Boosters and Servofreno Stickers

Thank you for pointing out that detail which I did not know. The sticker will have to suffice for now until I can find a source for a more original one. Does anybody know a source for metal logo?

Re: Brake Boosters and Servofreno Stickers

Yes, that definitely helps. It has the white Bendix logo, so another vote for that one in the 1960's cars.

Which is great, because you pay $5 for one, but everybody thinks they are $275. Instant status!
