Re: 365 GT 2 + 2 restoration

On my dino, some previous owner has TIG welded similar plugs up completely. I imagine it was a similar situation, where they couldn't remove them. It's not a particularly attractive repair, but as a last resort.. I'd try other things first though :)

[The italian alphabet doesn't have J or K. So I would suggest A = Jan, B = Feb, C = Mar, D = Apr, E = May, F = June, G = July, H = Aug, K = Sep, L = Oct, M = Nov, and N = Dec. --Josh DUH ! Re: Horn Detailing

Also, it looks like sometime later in the 60s, they changed their dating nomenclature to numerical/alpha with the number still being the year and the alpha character being the month as follows: A = Jan, B = Feb, C = Mar, D = Apr, E = May, F = June, G = July, H = Aug, J = Sep, K = Oct, L = Nov, and ...

There are some auto-resizing add-ons for phpbb that I can look into, perhaps this weekend.

*laugh* I was thinking the same thing, looking at mine. My whole engine is a mess really. It got coated in fine sand when the car was transported. Need it to warm up a bit outside so I can risk some water :)

Re: Horn Detailing

Josh, great info, and as you state for Dino, these same Fiamm are used for Ferrari, Fiat, Lamborghini, Maserati, Iso, Bizzarini, and others. Is it possible to post a picture or 2 of your compressor? Yes, here it is: (sorry for the poor picture.. not much light available in the garage right now, and...

Re: Horn Detailing

My theory prior to this TomYang thread was the first digit stamping indicated year of manuafacture and the following letter indicated a time within that year, maybe a month, maybe a week. So i happen upon you folks and thru the few earlier Fiamm i have seen, my theory still looks valid and even mor...

I would normally recommend http://www.cicognaniguarnizioni.it/ (they make most of the seals that you see at re-originals and other places), but they seem to be offline at the moment for inventory.

Looks great! Whoever did your body and paint work did a beautiful job!

[by the way, I went back and fixed the image links in the first post so everyone can see those pictures as well. After our upgrade to phpBB3, html is no longer supported in posts]

Re: "New Post" Icon

I did some googling.. this doesn't seem to be a common problem.. I haven't encountered it myself, but I am using firefox these days.

I'll keep an eye out though, if I hear about a fix for what you're seeing, we'll install it.

Sorry for the frustrating problem..
