Re: Steering wheel
I have sent my steering wheel to NARDi - they restored it perfectly for about Euro 850,- The contact person is Ms. Carla Moiana, the contact data is: Nardi Personal Via Vittorio Veneto 85 Tradate 21049 VA, Italy Tel: +39 0331 811118 Believe me it is worth both, the effort of sending and the money - ...

Re: Is this heater control valve original?
Hello Tim, thank you for your reply - you are absolutely right, it is the heater control valve - sorry for my bad technical English, in German you call that a thermostat. Anyhow, good to know that it was used at 330‘s, so it is a least Ferrari related. My belief is that it is wrong for the 250 GTE, ...

Re: Horn Detailing
Hello Tom,
This is what my horn assembly looks like. The trumpets seem to br aloy only, no paint. I am rather sure that this is untouched due to the history of the car.
Regards,
Martin

Is this heater control valve original?
Hi, I am rather sure that the heater control valve in my 250 GTE is not original. As far as I know there is a bracket or kind of holder on which the heater control valve is mounted. Can anyone tell me if mine is genuine and if not send me pictures what it should look like?! Thank you and regards, Ma...

Re: radiator blind - are there two versions,a long and a shorter one?
Sorry for the late reply - lengh is exactly the same at my ‚short‘ version. Are we the only two that have this short radiator blind or is there someone else?

Re: radiator blind - are there two versions,a long and a shorter one?
@ Tom: thank you for asking your shop technician - let’s see what he says. As David seems to have a shorter version too I see a slight chance that there was a shorter radiator blind fitted from the ferrari factory. It could be that the drivers forgot too often to release the blind after the car had ...

radiator blind - are there two versions,a long and a shorter one?
Hi, I purchased a radiator blind and when assembling the restored item to my 250 GTE I realized that it fits to the cooler / into the car perfectly but it is too short. This does mean that approx. 12cm/4,7inch length are missing – the fourth mount for the fourth screw isn´t even reached as the two g...

You are right. This is the disc for the Boano model (6splines) - I took the wrong pic. My disc is correct with 10 splines.

Re: clutch drives me nuts - what is wrong here?
Thank you very much for the information about the screws - this is it. I purchased my bólts from a cheaper supplier and received wrong dimensions - the head is 5mm high instead of only 4mm. I ordered the right bolts now and everything fits together. Lession learned: when it seems cheaper it finally ...

Re: clutch drives me nuts - what is wrong here?
Hi all, the fly wheel is brand new, original thickness. The lock washers have the same thickness as the ones I removed - I cannot imagine that these could be any thinner than this. The fly wheel bolts are the right ones but their heads protrude the fly wheel surface (when using the washers) for appr...

Re: Radiator blind needed
Thank you very much Kerry, that´s a great documentation and at least now I understand better what I am looking for. The bad thing is that I realise that this cannot be reproduced just like that, I definately need a radiator blind which I can restore. Getting some of your blinds could be a start and ...
