Tom , never ever had problems with Sergio Castellani during the years,
Sometimes it takes a little longer in Italy.
I use to say : " buy ORIGINAL parts when they are available , not when you need them."
PM me if I can do someting for you.
I am in that region(TN) every 3 month at least.

Re: Rear Wiring Harness Bakelite connector
Ed, This elektro part is made out of plastic NOT bakelite. bakelite with screws inside would not have a long life. In Germany they call them "lusterklemmen" and are easaly to get but, most of them are in white. Around 99 eurocent with 12 connection possibility´s is 0.99€ I cannot put a link anymore ...

Re: 250GT Distributor Caps
Cornelis, thanks as always for the reference pictures. Looking at your pictures, it seems to me that the original caps start life in a much darker shade of brown (almost black), then over time they get lighter. Agree? Your pictures answered another question I was going to ask, and that is, is the l...

Re: 250GT Distributor Caps
John, in the past I used to got the org. braun caps at Fiat dino V6
they were halve the price of the"real" Ferrari V12 caps.
you can find the right ones also at Lamborghini 350/400
but you must change the lettering
I think the rotor of those is turing the other way around.
Best

Re: 250GT Distributor Caps
The replica caps on the market now often don´t wear the MMM logo I tried them out once when testing a 128F engine on the test bench. we did lost some HP and torque on a fresh overhauled engine. ater changing the caps everything looks fine again The hole in the early caps were not drilled exact paral...

Re: 250GT Distributor Caps
John: I am NEVER in a hurry to replace distributor caps. I have only found one bad one (on a Boxer) in all the years. Lately, some of the repro caps are not correct dimensionally, and they hit the rotor when everything is tightened down. The only way to tell this is when you take the cap off and fi...

Re: 250GT Distributor Caps
Do our stock distributors start life closer to black? Is the brown due to fading over time? I am waiting for Cornelis to slap a picture of an NOS cap any minute. john Will do, but I am a working class here ,will take about 10 year before I am retired. comes this weekend John with all changes over t...

Re: Houdaille Shocks
I was always wondering why Ferrari the secondary arm at the houdaillesarms on the disk brake PF´s change in form and attachment place in the front suspension the drum brake cars were attached directly on the spring holder( 250gt Europa ,Ellena ,Boano) the disk brake cars get an attachment far more o...

Re: Houdaille Shocks
A question... Is there anything perishable inside these shocks? If the shock hold fluid and does not leak, is it safe to assume that all is well with it. Thanks. john As long as you do not put olive oil inside its not perishable John I did get back for year out of the US a set of overhauld ones for...
