Ignition system

Working on servicing the ignition system on my SII 330GT. I’ve been searching old posts and have lined up some items that I think I will need. Items include a Blue 12v Bosch ignition coil, 25 feet of Packard 440 spark plug wire and 12 Bosch spark plug wire ends (Bakelite 1k ohm). I will try to attac...

330 SII fuel tank

Does removing the fuel tank on a series 2 330 require a lift or is it something I can do with the car on Jack stands? Looking for a project to tackle during the quarantine.

Re: Pulling radiator

I got the radiator back this week and it looks great. The top rank was full of acorns and bedding from an old mouse nest. The tubes on the old core were clogged with debris. New core looks great. I would recommend Dave at Central Radiator and Auto air Tampa Fl. B05D04E7-06EB-4F29-8E54-0827F876B508.j...

Re: Pulling radiator

No AC. I ended up pulling the fans to provide more room. I had to drop the radiator down through the bottom to disconnect the hosing and just pulled up and out after that. I’m having the radiator recored at Central Radiator in Tampa. They work on vintage radiators and the owner Dave was very knowled...

Yes! I stand corrected by Tom and Peter. I’ll have to address the paint along with the screws.

Pulling radiator

Looking for tips on pulling the radiator on a 330. There is very little clearance between the radiator and the cooling fans and I was wondering is necessary to remove the fans prior to pulling the radiator.

Re: Horn Detailing

Mostly finished with the air horn. The air compressor works well but little sound is coming from the trumpets. I suspect the original red hose will need to be replaced as it is cracked in a few places. I had a really tough time finding the slotted machine screws so I just ended up put the old screws...

Re: Horn Detailing

I’ve decided to restore the Fiamm air horn off of my 66 330. I’m adding photos to provide information for others wishing to do the same. Disassembly was a bit of a hassle requiring a lot of penetrating oil and elbow grease. Does anybody have tips on cleaning the electric motor? ADA203F9-77F5-4BBD-93...

Ok thanks, I’ll try the heat shrink tubing. Hood pad from HVL looks great.

Hood supports

Im the process of restoring my hood. I would like to address the “hood supports” not sure what the correct name for them is. It looks like they have a hard plastic that is mounted on them where they touch. I assume this is to prevent them from rubbing. Does anyone know what material this is and wher...
