Re: Distributor Advance

I found this in my files for S85A. Is this fitting for all S85A applications? I would guess if another curve was required , it would require another version of an S85

Re: Heater hose for Ferrari

I received the hose I ordered from ebay. Even though it is marked Aeroquip 2556-8, it does not really show the spiral fabric outer layer. Maybe too old? Dave Dave I looked at these exact photos for this exact product on ebay, and because the spiral did not look good and it looked too slick, i order...

Re: Coils... again

O.K. Here's something that might stir things up. These a the coils on 2259, and the resistance stamping is on the bottom of the resistor! Any thoughts? Tom, Great data point for 1960-61? I have never seen this before (but i am marque challenged-1964+). Can't make out if date or ohms? I got my own s...

Re: Coils... again

Hi Craig, you and others here a taking a lot of time to details questions. Which is OK for me , but you seems to forget the functional importing things and thats makes blinding the mind. First : You never mention the pearlmutt heathseperator or " firewall" part between the barcket of the coil and t...

Re: Horn Detailing

Hi Tom, This horn topic is high on my list of things to sort out as someone in my GTCs previous life messed up my horn setup completely. In my research I have seen some hose from the early cars that is red but also has a black Pirelli scrip painted on them . I have taken down the information for th...

Re: Heater hose for Ferrari

I received the Aeroquip 2556-8 hose from Murdock Industrial today and it could not be better! It is exactly what I was looking for to duplicate this 1968 OEM heater hose.....fits the heater core, diaphram valve, engine spigots......the OEM "P" clamps that fasten the hose to the wheel well fit perfec...

Re: Heater hose for Ferrari

I hear you Craig, I am way to obsessed with the details myself. for what its worth you can always get the Copiglia clamp kits from the Mercedes restoration shops for not a lot of money and start with fresh band & cotter keys, it even comes in a nice little plastic case with a lid here are pictures ...

Re: Heater hose for Ferrari

Thanks Zac, i dont find a satisfying picture of the 2556-8 to get a feel for what it actually looks like. I will check my local sources for stock to get a first hand look. I have wasted enough time on heater hose research that the cost of the hose now seems unimportant. I simply need 10 foot of hose...

Re: Heater hose for Ferrari

Sample of one type of what was called "driver" show car heater hose from Dew Motorcars. I have 4 original band clamps for 19mm and they do not want to be mishapen easily to accomodate 21mm. Seems like a small point, but the $1.40 Thermoid cheapo black hose (no wrap, no spiral) fits the clamps just f...

Re: Heater hose for Ferrari

Thanks Tom, i went to Newco website, but i dont see anything that looks correct for 60's era heater hose.
Anybody purchase the "correct " heater hose lately?
Is a sample , dimensions, or ? of the correct product posted anywhere on line?
The three pieces i need are 18", 33", 69".

Heater hose for Ferrari

I am replacing heater hose on a 1968 Italian exotic similar to 330GT and need a source , but better yet , details on heater hose. I have heard stories in the past of AeroQuip, Rutlands, Newco, MAD, GT car parts, and others , but need a quick update on competitive suppliers of show quality heater hos...

Re: Preproduction 0891GT versus S1 PF coupe

This thread is just wonderful! Thank you for taking the time to post. What are Tribeti lights? I would like to learn more about this. I really like the period photos. Craig Craig I do actual know very less about this old lampproducer. You can find them from 1950 till 1956 on all Italien cars . Fron...
