Bryan, This car, 0943GT is the car that I considered buying last year. In fact it is the car that sparked my interest in the PF Coupe. It is a good original car in that it is not abused or modified. Yes, it is somewhat worn as most original cars are. The original color was a charcoal gray, a popular...

Scott Amis's 330 is a real find. As the 330's go I am particularly partial to the four headlight type. Congratulations Scott!

Hi Bryan, The authographed copies of Forza No. 45 can be had for a mere $250 per copy from yours truly. I met the photographer at a very low key Italian car and motorcycle gathering in Alameda (CA) last fall. He asked if I would mind an article on the car. Of course, I was more than happy. As always...

Oil Pressure Gauge Line

I have a slow leak right at the point where the "spiral" hose meets the female metal end. The seepage is coming from inside of this female end. Can this be repaired? This is an inside plug 250.

Greg, I presume we are talking about the 16 inch rim, if so, Avon makes a very nice (185-16) radial. They are usually used for the Jaguar XK-120. I have these tires on my 250. They are designated as 185HR16 Avon TurboSteel. They are looking rather old and I wished I could replace them with either (M...

One more thing since we are on the subject ... you can tune the sound by screwing the trumpet in or out of the base of the horn. There is a large locking nut that will need to be loosened first.

I found the problem: overoiling. In fact one of the horns would not sound because it was full of oil.

I agree with all points of view expressed on this subject. However, Ferraris tend to suffer from the "soup of the day" syndrome. Take the Daytona. They used to be so much more sought after than they are today. Take the Lusso and the opposite applies. I know of at least a couple of decent Lussos that...

fuiszt The diaphraghm is most likely shrunk or rotted. If that is the reason for the leak the unit will not function as it is meant unless the diaphraghm/spring assembly is replaced. Partsource in Maine seem to specialize in fuel related parts and pieces. Here is the link to their site: http://www.p...

Tom, It circulates the oil before startup. It's as if the car's oil pump runs first without the engine itself running. Then, when the oil circulates through the gallies and you read 25-30 psi on the car's oil pressure gauge you turn over the engine. The idea is that your engine has about 25-30 psi o...

Bernard, There are plenty people that drive their Ferraris less frequently than you do and they do not find the need to pre-lubricate their engines. As of lately, I drive the Lusso on average of once every couple of months. The fact, however, is that majority of the wear in a combustion engine occur...
