Re: Fixing holes in the glove box door
It would help to see a photo. How big are the holes? The 330 dash is just raw teak, which is readily available. Teak is also a very lightly figured wood, so it isn't very difficult to match existing grain. You might be able to insert teak plugs into the holes and the sand the plugs flush with the gl...

Re: Gauge lighting
Peter, thank you kindly for the thoughtful comprehensive reply. I think I will just try replacing the instrument and warning lights. I'm not too worried about the color, but if I have a choice I'll take your advice, I just need everything brighter. I'm not too worried about the dimmer, I don't thin...

Re: Gauge lighting
Assuming the GTC has the same instrument lights as the 330 GT, Kerry's light bulb guide (http://www.330gt.com/Encyclopedia/Bulbs.htm) is very helpful. The stock instrument bulbs are 3-watt "363". He also specifies a 4-watt "A-79" upgrade which is slightly brighter and I think I recall him saying tha...

Re: Reproducing Valce Stem Covers
Beautiful work! Do you know which models had these valve stem covers? Also, were they used only on Borranis or were they used with Campagnolo wheels also? Will you be selling the extra sets?

Anyone have the dimensions of 330 GT S2 sun visor mirror?
A "friend of mine" broke his sun visor mirror on S2 330 GT. All the kings horses and all the kings men, despite considerable effort, do not seem to have the Tetris prowess to reconstruct the fragments enough to accurately measure the dimensions. It seems like it is 100mm wide and 50mm high from both...

Re: Top Light 250 GTE
I also tried LED festoon bulbs a few years ago. On the bright side (definitely no pun intended), the LED's are much brighter, run super cool and use almost no power (comparatively), but as others have said the color temperature can be way off. They are also a bit directional with light as you rotate...

Re: 1965 330 GT 2+2 Series 1 iterim car radio
Speakers were installed by the factory, radios (if fitted) were installed by the dealer. I believe S1/interim should be mono (single speaker in console and I believe single speaker in rear-shelf -- easy to confirm by looking). Becker and Blaupunkt were a most commonly use. Becker Europa is a good ma...

Re: 250 seat/ball bearings
I don't know if it's the same as the 250, but on my 330 GT there were 4 ball bearings in each rail. I don't remember the specifics, but from my notes, the bearings were difficult to see until I removed the allen bolts on the seat rail. The bearings can be tapped into place if they fall out. I think ...

Re: Restoring the Dash Wood on a 330
Thank you peter, then i assume that when it soaks in the darker color will begin to appear and potentially match to the unexposed areas? Would any sanding of it be helpful? Hopefully a few more people will chime in so you can advice from a few people before taking action. My thoughts are below: Yes...

Re: Restoring the Dash Wood on a 330
The 330 dashes are just plain teak, I believe they were treated with only oil at the factory, with no stain or clear applied (somebody correct me if I'm wrong). Teak does get dried out rather easily, but it's easy to restore back to new even if it looks awful. This is why teak is used in marine appl...

Re: Fitting 205VR15 CN72 HS Cinturatos to a GTE
You can use this tire size calculator to compare sizes -> https://tiresize.com/comparison/ 185/78-15 is 26.4" in diameter while 205/70-15 is 26.3", so they should be roughly the same for filling out the wheel well. If the original tires were 80 series rather than 78, then the 185/80-15 diameter woul...

Unfortunately a non-US plate, but provides a glimpse at what the factory used -> https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threa ... -144426398

Re: thoughts on attaching rear license plate?
I would figure out what the factory or dealers used in period to mount the plates and use exactly that, which will likely require drilling. For the 330GT, the factory made a frame specifically to mount US plates -- it is a super thin surround (stainless or chrome, I'm not sure) and it curves slightl...

Re: 1965 330 Series 1 Sun Visor repair
Here is the heat seal you get with the cheap heat sealer I posted previously. I used it to cut a 45 degree corner on a vinyl folder that is fairly thick. The sealer "heat seals" the edge and cuts the outside portion to create a smooth edge. In the photo below, the portion in the middle is the heat s...
