Re: 330 cylinderhead left side
Hein, have you contacted Geoff Ohland at Partssource? Geoff seems to come up with parts when no one else can. Come to think about it, have you contacted Tom Shaughnessy? Tom has plenty of parts available and may willing to trade. Both these gentlemen have forgotten more about Ferrari parts in my est...

Re: BORRANI SPARE WHEEL TIE DOWN BOLT
Michael, you are correct, Maserati Information Exchange (MIE) does have them for Ghiblis, Indys, etc. What I don't know is the size and thread pitch of the hold down bolt and I'm not sure if the bolt handle matches that of the Ferraris. I'm guessing most of or all of these hold downs came from some ...

Re: Talbot, Raydyot mirrors for Ferrari
I could be competely incorrect, however my understanding is the Ferraris in the fifties and sixties did not come with side rear view mirrors, they were added here due to DOT laws. The mirror shown on the 365 California Spider appears to be a Lucas style mirror available through any of the dozens of ...

Re: The Best Penetrating Oil
David, I think the whole idea is use some kind of power steering fluid/ATF with 50% acetone. I haven't tried any other formulas, the ATF and acetone mixture works exceptionally well for me, which is why I started the thread. All of us working on old cars, some of us as a living or at least trying to...

Pierre, my 330 has the same placement of the bypass as yours, and yes the center outlet is the drain back to the pan.

Re: The Best Penetrating Oil
Standard dexron/mercon ATF is fine. Acetone has a low flash point so it's flamable, but I have yet to set anything on fire, excuse me spontaneous combustion, I think the ATF ups the flash point significantly. No particular brand of either product appears to matter, at least not that I've found. Let ...

Re: brake pedal problem
Tom is correct, there are two push rods, one from the pedal to the booster and then the "booster push rod" that goes from the booster to the M/C. There should be zero clearance from the booster push rod to the M/C piston. Too tight and the brakes will self apply depending on vacuum, too much clearan...

The Best Penetrating Oil
I found this penetrating oil through the Alfa 1900 site and thought I would give a try. It appears a lot of machine shops use this, it's 50% acetone and 50% ATF. Needless to say that after 40 years of using WD-40, Liquid Wrench, Kroil, PB Blaster etc. to loosen stubborn nuts and bolts this mixture o...

Re: Thanks Tom and Richard
Steve, Thanks for coming to the show! I'm glad you had a good time. Tom and I have created a unique show, I've been told by many we can't move it to another location, having at the shop makes it so different from other shows. Hopefully you'll come back next year, I'm not sure how we can top this one...

Tom, we did again!! I'm worn out. Special Thanks to the Admiral and Bryan for bringing the 500 Mondial, Michael and Marie Meehan for helping to put up and pull down the tent, that's a lot of work and one less headache for me. Marie you are so kind to bake those delicious deserts thanks again! It was...

Re: Compatible parts for early ferrari's
FYI, I have and do restore and work on older M-B products including 300SLs and 280SE Cabs Etc. All the parts for these cars are not as easy to obtain as you might think. In fact there are fair amount of parts NLA either from the factory or aftermarket. I even have access to the M-B parts catalog on ...
