Re: GTE/GT Power Antenna - Which is Correct?
WD-40 is a perfectly acceptable solution to your problem, but only if you are able to locate a can which has a serial number that matched your car. We all know that Enzo Ferrari personally selected each can of WD-40 that accompanied a car when it was new. The problem was that Chinetti sometimes mixe...

Re: Ferrari Fuel Float
The original cork floats used in Ferraris were coated with shellac to protect the cork. With a sunk float, you can sometimes dry it out and recoat it with success. However, I really like the neoprene Model A float as a far better alternative.

Re: Help Identifying vintage parts?
As to Clutches, Diaphragm Borg & Beck units do not appear until late 1965 in 275 GTB's and 330's. Solid Coupling Propshaft 275's have F&S clutches, and 330's with 5-speeds started using the B & B units.

Re: Help Identifying vintage parts?
#8 is definitely a Starter Heat Shield, but it is almost impossible to tell which model it is from, but reasonably sure it is not a 275, as they had a different attachment piece.
#9, the Bumper Guard probably fits a 275 GTS or a 330 2+2.

Re: The big exaggerator Ferrari
Every time a dyno run is made, the correction factor should change as the temperature, barometric pressure and humidity vary. You have hit on the best way to "produce" horsepower, just change the Correction Factor and make as much power as you want!! I have dyno sheets for a 275 competition engine f...

Re: The big exaggerator Ferrari
On the Ferari factory dyno sheets, the Corrected BHP is calculated by multiplying the torque reading (Kg) by the RPM in thousands (4000 = 4) times the Correction Factor at the top of the sheet. You can use this formula to complete all the power numbers at each rpm for any factory dyno sheet. The cor...

Re: Help: 275 Dust Boot Cover ?
The round rubber boot you speak of is for use in the interior of the car where the shift rod to the transaxle exits the interior through the rear wall. It is just to the inside of and behind the drivers seat. These boots rarely last very long because they have to operate at a very acute angle and th...

Re: Cheney Clamps
As far as the engine goes, the way to figure out what clamp went where is to follow the factory's logic. If the water hose had to be disconnected to pull the engine out of the car, they used a Cheney clamp. If the connetion would not be disturbed, a "wind up" cotter key style clamp was used. Cheney ...

Re: Help: 275 Dust Boot Cover ?
275's do not have any rubber boot covers over the throwout bearing arm where it enters the clutch bellhousing. Not listed in the Parts Book and I have never seen one on any car.
