Saying you are with Tom (Yang) will get you into the Tracy house steak out, on whichever night we decide to have it. It was a fun time last year.
I second the idea that the Jet Reception is a must do (from what I have heard).
I will bring some sandwiches and drinks to the track Friday, just send me a PM or post up here that you want me to count you in.
Hopefully the weather will be good like last year.

Hello again

Is it worthwhile to go to the track events on both Thursday and Friday, or do they clash with the "Yacht Hop" or anything like that? Are the yachts going to be as impressive as the ones we saw in Monaco harbour a couple of weeks ago? :D Some pics here:

I get to WPB on thursday morning, so I will be up for the jet reception party that night. Track on friday. I'm not sure when the Mondial gets there, but it will be on the lawn on saturday.

Two weeks and it's Cavallino! I'm flying into town on Wednesday evening, and will be attending the Lecture Series on Thursday Morning at the Breakers. Thursday night, I'll be at the Jet Reception, and Friday I'll be at Moroso. We'll meet at the usual covered pavilion in the middle of the paddock at about 1pm. Saturday is Cavallino, and I'll probably be hanging out by the Silver GTE 3553.

If anyone wants to meet at a specific time or place, e-mail me, or PM me.

See you all there!

We are having a Steak dinner (for free) on Friday around 5:30 for anyone who would like to attend. Our home is right off the Beeline highway (State Road 710) on the way back to West Palm Beach (or the island for those staying near the Breakers). We had an interesting mix of people last year, and it was a fun, relaxing time. You can grab some steak and a beverage on the way back from the track prior to going to the yacht hop. We are going to limit the attendance to around 30 people maximum. Send a PM or email if interested. Exotic cars are encouraged! There is plenty of safe parking.

Dear Tom,

Does this mean you are resigning from my elite support crew???

HelenAnn and I will be arriving Friday afternoon, the little blue car will be at Cavallino Saturday and at the Mar-a-Lago on Sunday. Hope to see you one of the days.

Best regards,
Robert

A quick note for those wondering, 3553 did NOT win an award at Cavallino. We gave it our best shot with the time we had to prepare this car, and I'll be writing a full report soon! The great news however is Admiral Phillips won some very prestigious awards at Cavallino! He's going to have to build a bigger mantle! Congratulations!

Tom is correct, we had two very good days at Cavallino and then the multi-marque show on Sunday at Mar-a-Lago. At Cavallino, we won a class platinum, the Best Four Cylinder Car (technically, we were also the worst 4 cylinder car, since we were the ONLY 4 cyl car), and the big (literally) Coppa Scuderia Best of Show Competition Car. At Mar-a-Lago, we won the "Vintage Spirit" award and the Best Competition Car.

Even better was being able to talk to everyone, some from very long distances like Kelly and Andrew, and let Dad revel in his spotlight - every minute of which he and the car richly deserve after nearly 49 years of ownership.

Tom S. actually gave something away? My goodness, this
retirement thing has really affected this poor soul.
My sentiments go out to him.
