Pininfarina body parts manuals

Post by 330GT »

There are two new (reprint) Pininfarina body parts manuals showing up on ebay auctions.

The first (Book One) covers:

250 GT
250 GTE (would also apply to the 330 America)
275 GTS
330 GTS
365 GTS

The second (Book Two) covers:
330 GT
330 GTC
365 GTC
365 GT
365 GTC4

I wasn't aware that the 250 GT and GTE models had body parts books available. I've found the 330 GT one extremely useful in owning an older Ferrari. Many parts can get lost or substituted over the years and the manual helps one straighten out those types of problems. The other useful feature is the PF part numbers supplied. With these, you can look at McCann's All Ferrari Parts web site ( http://www.allferrariparts.com/parts_list.cfm ), call Algar Ferrari, UK Ferrari or other parts sources and see if the part is available.

BTW, I'm not associated with the seller of these items on ebay. I presume that they are reprinted by Mar Parts, who supplies OOP manuals, rebuilt and reproduction parts to Ferrari UK for the world-wide Ferrari dealer market. I've sent an email to Ferrari UK parts to see what the availability and price are. I'll post their response and see if enough people are interested to make a bulk order feasible.

so what is the difference between this body parts manual on ebay and what is inclided inside the GTE Handbook from BillP (ex LenM)? It seems that the gte handbook only has a few parts listings arranged in a tabular format, with italian text. Is is a subset, does anyone know?

thx

Lukek,
The Mar Parts book is just nicer. I have Len's book, and while very complete it is just not such a nice booklet.
