I received my original color certificate for 11199. The reason I was excited to get this is that I never knew my build date til now; 1/4/68.

Ferrari appears to have straightened out the interior/exterior color switch problem on the certificate.

Hi Kerry and guys,

I sent off my request about 4 weeks ago...no reply yet... do you think I should re-submit or send an inquire to Ferrari?

How long did it take to get your certificate?

Pininfarina will not have the build sheet. They do have the original colors and perhaps the original destination. Hilary Raab's red book of odd serial numbers has the typical PF information in it (though not the colors). Look at the Ferrari Market Letter, Vol. 28, #1 and 2. PF inadvertently sent all of the PF coupe records to an owner who forwarded them to Gerald Roush. Gerald transcribed them, but also included a sample of the hand-written page so you can see exactly what records PF kept.

Just a couple of days. I would inquire or just try again. You should login and go back to the vehicle colors page (or look for an alert). The document could have been generated but the email notifying you got lost. If so, you will see a link under 'Other requested documents'.

The VIN you want to use is 3447GT. However, the engine number they want is not the chassis number. Instead they want the internal motor number. I don't have a picture already on a website to post here, but on your car, the internal motor number will be on the face of the milled surface where the chassis number is stamped on the block. It is difficult to see with the engine in the car, so you may have to use a mirror. It will be an even number, probably around 1100-1200 in the form xxxx/62E I think.

OH!!!

Thats probably why I got no response. I used 3447 as engine and chassis number and 3447 GT as Vin code.

Thank You.

Got mine for the C/4 and found that the original exterior color was Verdio Medio Nijinsky, the non-metallic green similar to the car that was for sale at Heritage Motors. Far cry for the Amaranto, or dark red, that it is now!

I made the same mistake a few weeks ago -- entered 8169 for both VIN and engine code. It said it accepted the registration, but the certificate never arrived. I just tried again with VIN 8169GT and engine code 1362, and it gave an error saying it didn't have any records. I tried again with VIN 8169 and engine code 1352 and it accepted it -- we'll see if the certificate arrives.

Kerry,

I checked the engine number this weekend it read 116/62E

The cars at the body shop and I had to use a light to see, but unless I missed a 1 for 1116 I'm pretty sure I read 116/62E?

Thanks

no luck ! :(

Unfortunately I had no luck and received the message below :( . I know they have them because they e-mailed me the colors when I asked along time ago. At the time I was trying to get the build sheets and they said they we not legible and they gave me the color scheme only. I thought it would nice to have in the current official format offered. Oh well!

william...I had to go back and forth with Ferrari a couple of times. They claimed at first no buildsheets were available for s/n 5409, then changed direction when I pushed a little. temperamental cars and people, I guess.

I had the same message for my car when I entered VIN number as "8169GT", but it worked with VIN "8169". The engine number is just a single number for the 330 (1352 in my case), but from the posts here it looks like there is a "/" in the engine number for a GTE. You may find it will work if you try variations on the VIN and engine number specified. It took about 4 days to receive the certificate once it accepted the numbers.
