What not to wear ... on carpet

Post by peterp »

I was looking for a set of mats to place over the original carpet and stumbled on these clear LLoyd mats for a 330 GT on eBay:

I know it's a bit grandmotheresque, but it seemed like a good solution so I ordered them. The good news is that the carpets fit great, the bad news is that they trap moisture from humidity in the air. Both times I tried them, the carpets were dry, but a couple days later there was dampness under the clear mats. I will next be experimenting to see how they fit in the garbage can. I'm just passing this along as an FYI in case anyone else is considering these.

Thanks Yale. I would be remiss if I didn't point out that I was cracking up for about 5 minutes when I saw your Secret Agent YE post on the other thread. Nice work.

Hi Peter,

I simply made a second set of carpets for my car and lay them over the ones for show. I was so stressed on Sunday, I never removed the second set. Luckily, they were pretty clean!
