330 gtc hood

Just bought a 330 gtc hood on eBay (and hope I never need it). Unlike mine, however, the border on the inner surface (facing the engine) has many many holes that appear to have been placed to lighten the hood itself. Is this correct? Can anyone shed some light (pun intended) on this variant. thanx steve

Somehow I missed your post. I have a spare hoood as well with all the holes facing the motor as yours does. Looks quite standard.

Rudy, thanx for the note. The hood is from 330 GT #6181 and would thus look totally familiar to you, but not to me. It was advertised as probably being from a GTC. regards. steve
