Tom,

Maybe one of your customers at a shop you work at will need your services in showing their car at Cavallino.

Then write off the whole trip as a business deduction being "ordinary and necessary in the production of income".

I plan on being there and hope to meet some of you; will there be a get-together at the track on Friday?

Friday was a great time to meet. Last year, we met at the Pavillion in the middle of Moroso Paddock at 2pm.

We're expecting 10 inches of snow today, so I can't think of a better thing to do than think about going to Cavallino. Even if Rudy is right about writing off the trip, I still have to EARN the money to spend,... but it doesn't hurt to plan!

To be at Moroso on Friday, I have to fly into W Palm Beach on Thursday. Saturday will be another track day, and Saturday will be at the Breakers. My question is what about Sunday? There's a 9am Jet Blue flight that gets me back to my neck of the woods, so I'm wondering if there's anything worth sticking around for Sunday. Someone said something about another show, but is it worth it?

Hi Tom,

Earning money before you spend it? What kind of business concept is that? I haven't heard of that in years. We must be old fashioned! I just wish someone could teach my wife that idea. She uses the "smoke and mirrors" law of economics.

Hi William,

I'd love to go but I am a CPA and will be at the forefront of the tax season battlefield at that time! Will you be going to the Quail Lodge in 2008? The tickets are already being sold so to everyone who is planning to attend don't let this get one get away. The last show was incredible.

I very recently received an order form from the Quail offering tickets at a "discounted" $225.00 per ticket. Try the website and see if you can order that way yet.

Tickets to the Quail sold out pretty quickly last year. I am getting them even though I do not know what my schedule will be in August. I figure that even if I do not go, someone will want them.
